SEO vs PPC

PPC is way more powerful.

I know we are on a SEO forum and most people will say SEO but it's actually not true according to me. I did both SEO and PPC in marketing departments and NOTHING beats PPC in terms of
Very nicely put mate.

What were your budgets for each of these though?

Very nicely put mate.

What were your budgets for each of these though?

We had a budget of 6000 dollars per month to begin with when I proposed the idea of paid. We spent around 10'000 dollars a month for SEO, which we didn't use at all at the end, as we did content creation via email marketing and sms only later on.

At first, we used remarketing only with GDN as it's the cheapest return on ad spend.

Later on, we were at 15'000 per month with google ads for the search... as the paid strategy improved, we began to use the same amount for youtube ads.

You can definitely test things with 150-200 dollars a day to collect data and improve the search ads and improve the way your keywords appear and speak to your customers in the conversion funnel.

And most people don't realise it but it can also help to test titles for your SEO articles and see which ones give you the best CTR.

Despite google ads...

GDN is still for me the most powerful lead gen machine, many brands use it for awareness only, it's what you are taught in marketing schools but after testing a lot, I realise it's stupid and a waste of money to "perceive" it as an awareness channel. We should always think about GDN in terms of lead gen, NOT AWARENESS as it comes automatically with the lead gen strategy. I also use it for sales in the remarketing stage.

I have yet found another channel where businesses can have 20k leads in a single day so easily, nothing beats it... GDN can touch 95% of the worldwide population every week let's not forget that.

+ if you do print advertising in your city or country... you should use GDN to see which banner ad is having the best CTR before you start to print your banners everywhere and bleeding cash like most physical businesses do.

Google's advertising ecosystem is so useful for so many things.

I dont do both but I think both have their own advantages. If possible and have some knowledge to ppc first and slowly build up seo on it so you can drop the ppc on it later.

Two sides of the same coin. What do you want to do with the traffic? How fast do you need it to happen?
People think that SEO is free, but content cost money, links cost money, speed optimization cost money, and your time is valuable.
PPC can work with leadgen, but probably won't work as good with adsense.
and at the end of the day uncle Google slaps your ass with an update

Uncle Google can slap your ass with an account suspension too.
At the end, the promotion needs to fit the product. And saying that one is better than the other without any other context is pointless.

It's not an arguement, just adding more points to the thread.

I often see these kinds of questions, but the reality is that's impossible to give an accurate answer here since both methods can work just fine, and in fact, if you want to achieve some great results, you should combine both SEO and paid advertising. SEO is great for getting organic visibility, and this will always be highly important as a traffic source this is the only thing that can help you really grow online and improve your business. But, since this process is quite slow and requires some time and effort, you should also start working on some paid ads, and start with Google ads campaigns as this will bring much faster results and let you work calmly on your SEO.

SEO works for income from affiliate marketing or ads.
PPC for dropshipping.

Just my 2c

What do you have more of?

Time = SEO
Cash = PPC

If you have time & cash do both :)

I know we are on a SEO forum and most people will say SEO but it's actually not true according to me. I did both SEO and PPC in marketing departments and NOTHING beats PPC in terms of

Data : finding the right messaging... With SEO you can't change your titles like you want tomorrow or it will mess up your ranking, with PPC you can test and understand what is touching your customers deeply. Which helps you also for your emails and other communication channels.

Predictability : You are not dependent on a random algorithm which changes and you can use machine learning in a powerful way, it's a shame to focus on SEO when you have so much power in your hands with PPC.

Retargeting : You can use retargeting ads to get in front of your visitors after they left your site, which is impossible with a SEO based strategy only.

SEO is inbound only... PPC is so much more than this.
mate a very solid explanation can i ask you more questions via private message if you allow ?

But is PPC good for low ticket high volume sales?
The cost per lead can be expensive......

If you do great already with rank and rent I will continue it, as this business model typically is a perfect usage of SEO.

PPC again depends on the industry, it can be crazy expensive indeed but the rewards are there if you have a positive CAC and CLV...

I know some of our leads stay with us for 5 years so it largely cover our expenses.

Both have their own benefits and shortcomings. If you want to see the results in less time. PPC will be better. Otherwise, it is better to go for SEO for long term results and conversions.

SEO helps to establish your blog as authority. You can reap the benefits once ranked for years.
