Pretty much if you are a serious SEO you are using ahrefs and are not concerned about gaming them with their old trial offers.

Ahrefs is the most accurate SEO tool I have found and yet so inaccurate.
Seriously, they could update the keywords more often!
Why do the other tools only work half as well?

And they don't even have an affiliate program. At least I can refer people and make money from them and get some discounts for my purchases with them.

They finally pressed the button.
I did it for a while, but it was a huge hassle. It would have even been a hassle doing this for periods of 14 days, or even 30 days. And I found that it wasn't recurring enough to have someone do it for me, and to have it ready on time.

Use cheap or free alternatives until you get to the point of being able to pay for ahrefs. You gain more experience this way anyway if you're new to SEO. Handing someone new to SEO a tool like ahrefs is like telling an 8-year-old how to drive a tank. They might be able to push it forward but they don't use any of the knobs and switches. My best guess is the trials were used inefficiently by most, to begin with, and at worse, a hindrance to the learning process.
This was also an expected change and I think they were looking into adding new price models for people just learning the tool or who don't need a lot of quantity to replace the trials. Not sure if that's live yet, if anyone wants to let me know

Why pay 99$ month when you can use that service for for 8$/month?
If i need ahrefs i will still use groupbuys, i don't use ahrefs so often, i don't wat to pay 99$/month for 2-3 uses/month.

How does it compare to Semrush? I can tell 80% people on this forum use Ahrefs but pricing and communication make me feel they should be equal. I'm wondering if I should move to Ahrefs
