What language choose as the main one for a multilingual website?

Hello there! I plan to do an online store for clients in the UK, France and Germany, and get a domain within the EU zone. I plan to make my store multilingual. What language should I use as the primary on my website?

English for sure. Other languages should be secondary per user preference. Maybe try geolocation or browser detection for automatic language selection. E.g If visitors browser language is English show English version, to germans show German, etc.

Choose the primary language - based on the majority of your content is written in. For example - if your page is predominantly written in English then your primary language should be set as English.

I would go for English as well.

I would definitely say English since this language is universal in some way and a lot of people will understand the content written on it, so you'll get the chance to reach a much wider audience. French and German should be optional, as you have less audience here, but it's good that they will exist as well on the site.
