Wordpres is just so easy to operate and manage and always has good SEO . Or that has been my experience of using it at leastBeen here for quite some time now... I joined BHW when i didnt even know what hosting or domain means.
I learned a lot despite this forum not being so noob friendly. hehe
I seemed to go with the flow with what everyone seems to be doing here. hosting, domain, cpanel, wordpress...
Why do we revolve around using wordpress only again?![]()
Solid point!I have a few custom coded ones that I hired someone to make
However, they are annoying & costly to maintain and update.
Also, despite the disadvantages Wordpress does present, it is still the most convenient & friendly out of all the known platforms currently.
I swear WordPress is like the last pillar holding up PHP from losing more market share than it already has.To be honest, wp sucks. I dunno how millions of people cope up with the stupid dev experience that wp gives you. :/
I understand that for sure. The problem is, wp has a few issues if you are going to talk about performance and dev time/experience.I swear WordPress is like the last pillar holding up PHP from losing more market share than it already has.
Laravel is much benign in terms of hassle and the payment is similar, but projects are much more advanced, yet they are more pleasant to develop.I understand that for sure. The problem is, wp has a few issues if you are going to talk about performance and dev time/experience.
1) It's a coding hotchpotch. It does not have the structure that a mvc/hmvc framework would have. It's much easier for an experienced dev to work on an mvc framework than trying to use filters and hooks (or whatever those are called these days).
2) WP does not have CRUD generation, Controller Generation, Model generation etc which slows things down. You might think you are saving time with wp, but trust me; you are losing time.
3) Everything in wp is always "loaded" in memory. So, it's a resource hog.
I could go on and on... Been on both the sides (if you don't believe me.. send me a pm, I will send u my sof post on wp from as early as 2013). WP is really the worst in terms of dev experience. Those who don't believe my words, may be try the alternative first; then blame me lol.
Not really. You have to pay about $100 for plugins to make something out of it. 99% of themes are junk.Wordpress has a huge community. Without plugins it wouldn't be very popular, but thanks to the plugins, you can do whatever you want with little to no experience.
Themes don't mean much. There is a lot of free themes that gives you a lot of freedom, and free plugins as well. It depends how you build, but if you know your way around the code and know how to use gutenberg properly, i guarantee you you can achieve a lot.Not really. Working with WP is a pain in the ass, it's slow, ugly. But at the end of the day it's got an ecosystem that nothing else beats. I tried using some different products and they're absolute garbage. If there is anything better I'd really love to know.Been here for quite some time now... I joined BHW when i didnt even know what hosting or domain means.

Wp is simple and quite easy to use. It is user friendly and beginners can also work on it with lesser difficulty.Been here for quite some time now... I joined BHW when i didnt even know what hosting or domain means.
