That's a good point but time tracking doesn't have to be a bed in essence. We you is to track various aspects of work like:
- Who works at the office and who works from home/remote location (I personally don't want to check 1000 m^2 of office space searching for someone)
- Breaks (employees have 1 hour brake - working day is 8 hours including brake)
- Days off (vacation, personal cases, emergencies, etc.)
- Actual work spent on tasks (so management can make proper financial decisions - if something takes more time than it can bring value -> abandon it)
We do not:
- Record screens/take screenshots of devices
- Track traffic
- Violate personal space even digitally
P.S. Some sit on porn sites all day, some are spending all day on social networks, etc. but this is part of their work.
Plus we have a shrink permanently employed
