Hey,

I've always been that guy who buys the latest phones and keeps up to date with everything new that comes out.

Usually I buy a new phone every two years and never spend less than 800$ on it.

However, lately I've been thinking about stop doing that and just start using a budget phones for like under 200 or 300$. Not only to save money but also because I feel like I can do everything I usually do on a cheaper phone.

My opinion is that, If I don't use it for gaming and all that stuff, it should go well right? It should allow me to do everything I need it to do.

So I'm curious, what smartphone do you guys use? Do you buy expensive shit or does something cheaper works for you?

Let me know

iPhone. Doesn’t have to be the latest one; I’m a few versions behind. But A decent phone is a necessity for me because it probably gets used as my main communications medium for about 30% of my working day.

Galaxy s21, good phone ☺️
Nice, so you're on the expensive side

Makes sense, but I mean, in terms of communication (calls, messages, whatsapp, etc) don't you think that a budget phone would perform as well as your iPhone? Or at least well enough for you to work without problems?

I'm the kind of guy who doesn't give a shit about smartphones.
I don't like to get my eyes tired by looking at small screens for too long.
So I use my phone only for calls, WhatsApp messages, taking some notes, and occasionally for navigating the Internet.
Overall, I don't spend too much of my time on the phone.
I have a cheap Xiaomi Redmi 7A which I bought approx two years ago if I remember correctly.
Before I had a Samsung S4 mini, and it stop functioning so I bought the Redmi.

Nice! And do you ever feel limited in any way for the kind of use you do?

I mean, do you notice often that you're using a cheap phone?

Yes, sometimes I get a notice that the storage space is low, sometimes there is a lag, and sometimes even the screen freezes in Google Chrome. Not too often, but it happens. But again, it doesn't really bother me because I don't use the phone so much.

All these phones are the same shit! All they do is add another camera, change the name and charge you $1,300

Here's what I rock.
:)) I think I still have an old Nokia 3310 somewhere in a drawer.

Bought the Redmi Note 10 Pro for 300€ and I like it (especially for that price)

mine is bit old, from 2015 i want something new to play new games
samsung galaxy j7 prime

Iphone 11 Promax and Google Pixel 3A.

I would suggest you an iphone. Not necessarily the latest model.

iPhone - like @davids355 said, doesn't have to be the latest. I had the iPhone 10 and would have kept the 10 if I didn't need dual SIM for 2 phone numbers.

The phone needs to be new enough to use the latest versions of apps, but that's the extent.

iMessage is just a staple in international business. Facetime is extremely handy as well as not everything needs to be a Zoom call.

An iPhone is a sign of professionalism. Of all the venture-backed founders I work with, zero use Android.

Android is great, and sometimes they get featured before Apple. They're also cheaper. So, YMMV, but I prefer Apple.

I feel like this question gest asked every month.
