This has been probably debated everywhere online for millions of times, but I still would like to hear your opinions.

Three weeks ago, I bought a decent vaping kit after trying out several disposable ecigs for a couple of weeks. I've done so for two reasons:

- I'm an extremely heavy smoker, I tend to grab a bite of any food so I can have a cigarette after. Been smoking for 13 years now. You get the idea.

- Having lived most of my life where smoking in-doors is not prohibited, I find vaping in my UK house a lot more convenient than standing outside in the cold.

First two weeks of vaping, I started slowly reaching one roll-up a day of tobacco. For the past three days, I haven't had a single cigarette!

I am vaping a lot to supplement, that's for sure.

My question would be: what are your experiences with vaping as opposed to smoking? Have you noticed any difference in health and energy?

To be fair, if this sticks around and I drop the habit of smoking tobacco completely, I might start thinking about leaving the vape behind... but that would be extremely challenging as I do enjoy the habit.

I've done it all so it's from experience.
Vaping nicotine is better.
You will cough at first because it's cool smoke
and your lungs are used to hot smoke.

After a couple of weeks you will breathe easier.

Only choose well-known liquids that are lab
tested. Don't buy that shit you don't where it
is coming from.

Work off of the nicotine until you just vape for habit.
Then you can stop.

Smoking some CBD time to time is nice =)

I smoked for years, and I've now been vaping for about a year. I agree with Squidee, you'll start realizing how heavy the smoke was on your lungs after a while. I vaped a ton at first, since I was coming off of about 10 cigarettes a day, but now Im at the point where I barely even want to vape anymore. I'll probably be off of it completely pretty soon.

I'm not completely new to vaping to the point of coughing. I'm sensing that things are starting to change, but a run in the park in a couple of weeks or so will definitely be a good test.

and, yup... cbd seems cool every now and then ;)

Good for you! This is ultimately my goal as well.

Smoking has been a part of my character for so long, but I'm at the age where I don't really give a shit anymore. I dropped the weed early 2021 after extremely heavy use and now tobacco seems to be following.

To better habits!

just smoke weed bro

My advice would be to grow a pair and stop letting substances > your own will.

Everyone that I know who made the smoke -> vape transition has mentioned enormous life benefits, mostly related to their lungs.

While it’s true the data is still “new”, most vapes are literally just VG, PG, candy flavoring, and liquid nicotine. Most those ingredients are found in every day stuff.

Compare that with whatever the hell is in cigarettes and it’s not even close.

I stopped smoking in September 2020, I switched to the electronic cigarette and I smoke liquid with 12Mg of nicotine (the maximum sold in my country unless you make it yourself).

I could not, at the beginning, remove the first cigarette of the morning with coffee (my tobacco addicts know what I mean), then I forced myself one day to remove it even if it meant smoking like a pig on the electronic cigarette and after 4-5 days I did not wanted the morning cigarette anymore.

Health-wise, I have a better sense of smell, I sleep better, my sleep is heavier, I'm less out of breath and I don't stink like an ashtray anymore.

One of the best things was not to smell the cold tobacco anymore and not to go outside in the cold winter to smoke.

And financially, I save about 300€ a month so I was able to move into a bigger apartment.

Same here. I was a heavy smoker. Used to have around 2 packs a day. Have not touched a single stick in the last 2 months, thanks to vaping. Vaping is about 95% less harmful than smoking. So, I consider this as a win.

Oh and health implications? I noticed two things immediately. I stopped coughing and I could run/walk much more without losing my breath. I guess that will happen to you too.

I used to smoke normal cigarettes since I was 12. Been smoking since I turned 27. 1 pack a day, everyday.

Then I switched to vaping. Here's my thoughts, good or bad.

At first, the transition was perfect. After 2 weeks of vaping without any cigarettes, I was feeling amazing. Went for 18mg/ml nicotine. Was perfectly managing 2ml a day, without the need to go for more. Everything was fine.

Then, body adapted to the nicotine. I was vaping more because I wasn't getting full.

Couple of years later, I started to notice I'm lazy and lethargic. Blamed on the nicotine. This is where I started to do my first mistakes.

I said, ok, too much nicotine, I'll just use less nicotine. Went for 12mg, then 6, then 3mg. Big, big mistake. I ended up vaping 10-12ml a day on 3mg nic. Problems got worse.

You see, when you vape 2-3ml a day, there's no problem. When you ramp up the mls, the PG/BG starts fucking you up slowly, but surely. They SLOWLY dehydrate you. I'm not talking just feeling thirsty. It actually sucks up liquid from your body.

You might say, just drink some water. This is where the problem is. You can't fix it by just drinking water. You actually need to eat high water content foods.

Combine vaping with coffee, and it's a recipe for disaster. You end up pushing all your sodium outside, slowly, without noticing until it's too late and you start waking up after a 9 hours sleep TIRED.

After a few years, my dopamine receptors we're fucked up to the point I was totally unproductive at work. I just wanted to lay around and vape. Go to the bathroom? Take my vape with me. Doing anything, had to have my vape with me. Don't vape for 30 minutes? Started getting angry.

If you are young, you won't notice too many problems. I'm 33. You don't hydrate like you used to. In the long term, it fucks you up completely.

I still vape, switched back to 18mg/ml and limit myself to 2ml a day. But even now, I find myself going overboard.

I so wish I could quit, but I'm in love with the throat hit.

When you smoke cigarettes, you smoke one, and you let it alone. When you vape, you have it in your hands at all times. So it's easy to exagerate.

I still vape, so it's impossible for me to tell you to stop, since I do it too. Just know it fucks you up in the long term if you are not cautious.

Stick with high nicotine, and limit the intake. Stay safe.

My friend also was a smoker, but when he tried Vaping he said it doesn't any feel too different from cigs. The obvious difference is that he can try different taste of cigs, nowadays he tried to stop smoking, he knew that he maybe not be able to stop completely, but at least he tried.

They're all bad for my health so none of them.
