So... after years, new Matrix arrived - What you think?

I was watching the new Matrix yesterday

Pluses:
-better CGI
-the new message: matrix is in your head, billions of people living in own loops. They don't want to release their full potential. They feel anxiety and same time they are scared to loose what they have, comfortable mediocrity

Minuses:
-not everyone can like the new form, colors, etc. but this is Matrix created by Neo, after he released, Matrix started to recode to 90s form (maybe we will see it in Matrix 5)
-shave him, it's not John Wick
-Morpheus, I know it's only program coded by Neo but ... it's weird
-fun end scene, remind me Ant-Man and the Wasp xD lol

Found the twist in the beginning quite good (that it all was just a video game he designed). Like they were really giving him a huge mindfuck so he was constantly questioning his own sanity.

And this movie fits so well into this time right now. Everyone is living in a bubble, people get told what to do all the time. Its so much black and white thinking: "Oh, you are questioning this? Maybe you should go to a therapist" And there were a few scenes were his friends kept him busy and then someone said "these guys only exists to keep your mind busy, so you wont focus on what is really going on"

I think the movie is really weird and useless to people who depend on the system or are happily doing what authorities are telling them, but for everyone who has a free mind and questions things, the movie (like the first part) is really gold.

Exactly - not for action movie fans like Marvel with fast fun and no story behind.

I think Matrix 4 need to be watched 2-3 times to find out hidden stuff

People here in Poland laugh because they see weird machines like dolphins.
It's 60+ years after first Matrix timeline and it's connection to Animatrix series.

I don't rule it out, I never really liked this movie.
That doesn't mean it's a bad movie.

That's why everyone like his own Matrix and don't want to leave it. They could show the Matrix from Trininity perspective and it would be for example the cartoon

you are talking about the first half of the movie. Which is okay and even a little promising. However, the second part of the movie is like mikki mouse have kids with agent smith. Cute and disgusting. I wonder what did Barnie do to get such a big part in this movie

The second half of the movie miss a single idea bro. It's just stopping bullets with hands and epic moments with no sense.

That can be because they were too young, when they watched the first movie. If you aren't in your late thirties now at least, the chances are that you haven't understood the first movie, if you watched it, when it came out. It's like making mandatory for highschoolers to read and understood Dostoevsky or Chekhov. Most of the time, it won't happen.

Honestly it isn't the story, which is the most remarkable for me about the original Matrix movie, but bullet time, the costumes and visuals. What's with the rabbit hole or the spoon, i could care less.

Mainstream Hollywood is delivering pukeworthy and pretentious movies for last 4-5 years now. All major studious are just delivering action/sci-fi remakes or "politicall correct" and preacy dramas.
Their stories are dull.

New Matrix is another cashcow.

Indie movies are bringing fresh content and forigen content looks better too e.g Korean, Scandinavian or Indian.
