most of the time blackhat SEO refers to the activity of building links. But until you need to build links you need to have a website that's ready to rank. And to get a website that's ready to rank you need to do other SEO steps properly, and those steps are not blackhat.

The reason I am telling you this is because you seem very interested in blackhat SEO but you sound like you don't know the basics of SEO in general. I might be wrong in my assumption and if I am, I apologize.

But if I'm not wrong then - again - you need to focus on something else before getting into blackhat SEO and the reason for which these other things are important is because SEO is a very expensive niche and if you don't get the basics right you'll end up losing money 99% of the time.

So, seriously, first learn the extremely important basics of SEO, which are:

- how to choose the right niche
- how to choose the right keywords
- how to create content that ranks and banks
- how to do on-page SEO

After you've gotten these 4 crucial aspects of SEO right and you have a website that waits to be ranked only then can you focus on blackhat SEO. Otherwise, you'll end up doing blackhat SEO to a website that never ranks because the basics are skipped / done poorly

The best way to start is to find really quality resources that will help you upgrade your knowledge and improve your skills. As you are interested in SEO, which is a pretty huge and demanding field, I would recommend watching as many different tutorials, reading blogs, forum threads related to that topic, and so on. It would also be helpful if you could start your own project where you could practice all that you learned. Start first with White SEO as that's the base for all future SEO work, and once you get some insights here and understand how things are functioning, you can move on to learning the best Black Hat SEO tactics.

I think I do know more or less the basic concepts of SEO, although sometimes the information I find online is contradictory and I no longer know what is good and what is not. So I say I'm a newbie, because I prefer to be cautious and let myself be advised by people with more experience than me (like those in this forum).

But if you advise me of a reliable information site on the basics of SEO (and the specific points you mention) I will thank you very much and I will start by reviewing there because you always learn something new

Thanks for your answer @VortexAlpha. Yes, I have already started my own project, an ecommerce where I have applied my basic knowledge of White Hat SEO, but I have not yet created backlinks or anything related to Black Hat SEO.

Although as I told tazarbm, I accept suggestions for quality information on SEO basics, because many information is contradictory or I do not know if the concepts that I think I know are correct

Ahrefs have a very good tutorial on how to choose keywords and how to do guest posting outreach to get backlinks. Have a look at it:

Regarding the on-page SEO the tutorial above also touches on the subject, but in general you want your keyword in title, 1-3% in the content (preferably in one sub-heading, as well), and to have an image with the ALT tag as the keyword, as well. Also, if you have the money to spend, tools like Frase.io and SurferSEO can also help with the on-page optimization of content.

Regarding the niche selection, I won't go into details (you can find plenty of info on the topic, both on google and BHW), but in general, what I recommend newbies to do is pick one of the top main niches (but not the main ones), which are:

- pets
- technology
- self improvement / self-help
- medical
- health & fitness
- finance

And yes, I know that finance and medical niches are very tough to rank in, but the reason I recommend them is because all of the keywords combined in any of these niches amount to billions of searches per month, not to mention the millions of keywords that are available in any of these niches. So, you will never run out of keywords to write content on, and to rank for if you go for these ultra big and popular niches. But you do need to do your keyword research properly, otherwise you'll struggle a lot.

yeah, over-optimization is real, so you should avoid doing it. I always use ALT tag for one image, and the other images on the page I never stress about. Sometimes, when I have a secondary keyword that I want to rank for I might add it as an ALT tag for a different image on that page, but this is rare
