This type of stuffs are Cyber Crime. It does fall under INTENTIONAL DAMAGE to Intellectual Property. What if that guy actually blasts spammy links and you lose rankings?
How do you prevent such backlink scam?
Is there a way to see from which IPs the backlinks are coming from so the IPs can be reported to Google and Cyber Crime so necessary action can be taken?

They will not blast his site... that was a one call sales call and if you don't close it that way you just move on.
Probably automated as well if they are doing it right.

I know this company very well. I know them well. As far as I know, this is the work of their competitors, they have done this to reduce their reputation. I texted them. Hopefully, they will be more careful.

Do not worry, it's an automated email, they will only *try* to do that if you reply to the email. Just ignore it!

Yes seems automatic but many people's site got blasted with spammy backlinks and they lose rankings right? I am sure I saw some threads about it here in BHW.
So, is there a way to find the IP and report to Google and Cybercrime? Coz the way I see, these things are intentional damage to Intellectual Properties.

Opening those messages is a bad idea, because then their cold mail dash is gonna show you opened it, and that probably puts you into a sequence.
You should always just delete that stuff without looking at it.

It's clearly someone trying to discredit Bizcope otherwise why did the guy not post from his Bizcope email address?

Clearly this is working as you didn't contacted his client and get him busted but posted it here. So most likely he has got a system in place to "extorting backlinks". He must me covering his track.
May be in Bangladesh no one gives a crap on what people do and guys like him push the legal boundary and check what that can away with. I would not recommend this though. there are legal ways to make money even in Bangladesh I am sure.
