US Inflation rate up

Good news for crypto. People are finally realizing fiat money is basically a scam.
If you want to have the exact same lifestyle as last year, you need to work and earn 6.8% more.
If you work and earn exactly like last year, it's as if you got a 6.8% pay cut.
This happens every year. We are basically forced to work more and more if we want so survive.
That's why crypto exists.

The inflation will got worse. Look at the argentina ,turkey ,venezuela. Is seem like more and more country suffer from high inflation. GET PREPARED

I agree but the government may not. The government wants to fuck you up, so why would they be happy with crypto?

They are not happy with crypto, but they know they can't stop it. They are starting to understand they should buy crypto as well if they want to keep up.
It pains me when people say fiat isn't real money as if crypto is.
Things have value because people think they have value. If enough people
agree upon a value it becomes worthy of exchange.

Life is fiat.
Of course fiat money is real money. It just loses value each year. If you own $100k and the inflation is "only" 5%, you will have $60k ten years from now.
If you don't want to invest in BTC and other crypto you can just stake stablecoins and earn 10-12% yearly interests. It's better than let money sit in your bank account.

Agreed, along with holding tangible assets like Gold and Silver.
Silver being used more and more in industrial situations. =)

How is fiat scam while crypto real money? When even crypto depends on fiat to have a value. Worst is the unreliability of crypto. You could have $1m today in whatever coin, only for it to turn to $200k the next day or week.

We both know that is almost not possible with fiat. We all live crypto due how we could make money from it from almost doing nothing other than buying early. But don't make it seem more than what it.

The past week a lot of people have been bleeding with exchanges liquidating trading balances here and there

Good news for those of us that get a check from the US Govt as that means we will all get a raise.

I see a smart investor irrespective of volatility the best investment made, but jokes aside I feel for all those who’s life will be effected due to rising prices

A small part of our monthly income is the retirement money (I'm not retired but am able to get the benefit based on my age) we get from the US Govt (actually from the railroad as they administer our payments) and I think the raise we are to get is in the 5% range or something.

For us it will make little difference but for many retired people in the USA it means a lot, and like you, I feel for those that are living on that alone.

Yes, gold is also a good way to play around inflation. You can stake Pax Gold (gold stablecoin backed by real gold) and earn about 6% interests.

Explaining why crypto volatility is not a problem (in the long term, of course) would take hours. I would recommend following this free Bitcoin course, you will learn a lot: https://learn.saylor.org/course/view.php?id=468

that's my concern too. I mention the "inflation" b'cause saw lots of people losing their money. Just show there is no hope lost. I don't think there will only be crypto in the future and will be replaced by fiat, but it will still be around. especially in situations like what we are currently in "covid". Corruption would always be around the corner, whether it is fiat or crypto.
I am by no means an expert in finance, I am a network engineer. So billion years away from that :)

One negative Elon Musk tweet and the good ole reliable non-scam Crypto would be down 80%

Ah yes, another useless post that will gather all people on bhw to discuss and fight about ecomony and inflation.

One negative Elon Musk tweet and the good ole reliable non-scam Crypto would be down 80%
Actually, his latest crypto tweets barely moved prices by 5%. People stopped caring for his tweets. They worked the first time, but now the market seems to ignore them.

Not really, His days and the affect of his tweets on crypto markets seems to be dull with time:)
