Hello, in this thread im going to share with you my knowledge of SEO and what i have so far. Keep in mind im new to this, so dont waste your time reading if you are thinking im going to give you some game or something. - I just found this website (BHW) about 2 weeks ago.

So what i know so far is this. I have learned that there is basically 2 pillars to seo.

1.) On Page Optimation
-Url
-Header/Title
-Keyword Density

2.) Off Page Optimization
-Backlinks
-Tiered Link Building
-Anchor Text
-PBN

This is what im aware of so far, i could very well be missing some stuff, and if i am please leave a comment and lmk so that i may learn it and expand my knowledge

But, this is what i know so far. So now im looking to learn how to rank money sites and get results (arent we all)... But i really want to understand things deeper.

Basically what i think right now is that you have a money site at the top, it has 3 tiers of backlinks. No more than 5 because i guess google stops tracking about the 4th of 5th hop and beyond.

So im wondering, if i have my money site at the top, what do i use for the links? For tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 backlinks? What links do i use for each tier and how many links are needed/ recommended for each tier? --- Also before i do any kind of link/tiered link building, do i need to have a keyword that i want to rank for? Or do i just build links to help my site authority?

What is this exactly? Is there a certain process that i should follow? Or do you have one that you recommend?

Say i want to rank for a certain keyword "dog toys"

I then look up that search query "dog toys" and i see who ranks. Then i take their domains and look at their "DA/PA" and "TF/CF", and then look at their backlinks, Look at how many backlinks they got, where they are coming from, and what anchor text % and what kind of anchor text.

Once i have this information for someone whos ranking for a keyword then i do what?

This is just what i think so far, but im not sure, should i be doing more? Or doing things a certain way?

You should definitely first define keywords that you want to target, as you will base most of your activities on that. You can start some research on backlinks, analyze your competitors, see how is ranking for the same phrases that you want to go after and analyze their sites, content, domain authority score, number of backlinks, see from where do they receive the traffic, try to investigate more those sources to set up your own strategy and to define where to start with your SEO process.

Okay so i should be starting my seo by looking for keywords first? Is that the first step find the keywords that i want to rank for nased on volume and stuff, and then from there begin reverse engineering?

Yes, exactly, keywords are the most important step in the SEO process as from them it depends how successful you will be later. So, dedicate yourself to it first and do a thorough analysis.
