Guys,

Any idea how this can be managed, this guy has reserved a HUGE space with his ad campaign:

I just checked on googleNL (NL IP as well), I have 2 columns.
But it's irrelevant... the whole first page is 7lab anyway (ad, then official site, then social media).

Well, it looks like they've been in this business for a while.
I guess you'll have to do some good SEO on and off your website, do some black hat stuff so Google will have to pessimize the site you are trying to compete with...
Besides this company has a perfect name for that keyword you dialed there and they do the ads to keep it that way.
I would not say it is impossible, but it's a whole lot of work. I doubt it will be a worthwile campain...

Google has ruined its content with not only massive ads, but multiple ads in some instances. Any heavy hitting keyword runs into this issue, which is why organic SEO has suffered in recent years.

Doesn't this ad use the same headlines as the main website page?
I assume the guy has made everything he could for his company's site to get to the top.
The ad is, basically, an insurance so noone steals his place. Am I not quite right?

Yeah, with ad extensions and all the bells and whistles the idea is literally that... take up as much room as Google will allow you to so that your competition is down the page. Yet another annoyance to SEO. Which is why I hopped over to PPC a few years back.

You use PPC to get traffic? You don't consider SEO at all?
I'm just trying to get back into the business and also assume your answer can be of use for the OP too...
