1. Yes I did it myself, you dont need your supplier. you can simply file for a trademark, but thats not something you should do in your first 6 months of sales id say. First make sure you're making money and then deal with it, i can help you with that.
2.I dont deal with customs, DHL / UPS deal with them for me. I prefer to ship via air. its faster, and easier. If you want to ship by sea, look for an agent / company to deal with the headaches for you. if possible, stick to air.
3. 5-10, sometimes you dont need reviews in order to make sales in the beginning though, depends on the product.
