The Reason Why I'm Sticking with the Copy Claim Method

also what was the reason YT demonetized your channel? you did edits on your anime videos, even that is not enough? i see there r so many other such channels and movies clips/scenes with little edits but still monetized
youtube said it has the right to monetize
Question sir, is you channel monetized or not? how many subs? Do you meet the monetization requirements?

thats the only thing stopping me from trying this. I have a channel with 900 subs and my own content orig slideshows. So I'm thinking of doing

Question sir, is you channel monetized or not? how many subs? Do you meet the monetization requirements?

thats the only thing stopping me from trying this. I have a channel with 900 subs and my own content orig slideshows. So I'm thinking of doing the copyright method to my videos.
my channel isnt monetized

I've tried this on a few videos and It's worked alright. I haven't seen thousands but definitely hundreds. I got an email from Traxx this morning (who I had been using) telling me that they will be dropping YT ContentID on the 18th. I was going with them because they were only taking 10% of the revenue vs 20% like Distrokid. I may try and upload a few more songs before the 18th.
I have heard of Traxx but don't know much about them and that's the risk with some of the smaller distributors is that they drop the Content ID program every now and then so definitely get to using DistroKid and CD Baby.

so youtube freezes the money if you use compilations, like tik tok, football, gacha, anime. my question is simply to change the title of the video, removing the compilation and tik tok, or the channel itself is now a compilation for youtube and no longer pays the rights. I have another question, big labels like Universal music, Sony .. youtube is paying their rights without problems even in the compilations?
i have videos with millions of views .. youtube freezes the same and i changed at least 5 different distributions all the same problem
From what I know, it's more like copyright stuff period, not sure about compilations as I know compilations are definitely a no-no in AdSense. In the copy claim method, you should be okay as long as the distributor doesn't catch you. It's really tricky as I can't get give you a straight answer as it varies, for the most part, depending on what you upload with your music.

so basically for this to work, you need to have a YT channel with videos with millions of views .. yes others can use your music but there are millions of music in YT library, so your music might never ever been seen or used by anyone .. and so if i have a YT channel with videos with millions of views it will make more sense to adsense it or cpa it rather than this, risking records company banning u and not pay out ?
I've only seen a few users use my music but their videos weren't huge enough to make money off of it. In your case with your channel, it depends on the type of content you have if it's safer content then just monetize it with AdSense as copy claim is really for stuff that the YouTube Partner Program normally doesn't accept into its program. Obviously, you can do CPA as well but you need a loyal following for CPA to work well. Now it's a major risk with the copy claim method because record distributors might not pay you on any given month so it's definitely not guaranteed.

Thank u bud!

Hello Sir! I'm thinking to try this.
Question : What MCN networks do you use right now? And what are their requirements to get accepted? Thank you!
Right now I'm not using any MCNs but I'd like to find out which ones that people are using because some of them accept this kind of content openly. It's likely you need 1,000 subs and 4,000 watch hours either way.

If i have a channel with my orignal content and I just want to monetize it with distrokid using the copyright claim will that work? or still my account will get frozen ?
If you have a channel with original content on it then you don't even need copyright claim you can just monetize that with YouTube directly as copy claim is only for copyright stuff that you generally can't use in the program.

But but my current channel with 904 subs and 200 hours view, I bought the subscribes and some of my videos have ads on them.

Anyway heres the list of MCN from youtube https://servicesdirectory.withyoutu...n-society-admin,music-publishing-admin&page=1
They could have ads on them from the other companies not specifically your music so you're likely not receiving revenue on them. I'm not 100% sure on this so don't take my word for it.

Thanks for the list of networks as well!

Hello @DStiles are you still gaming this method? hows your journey mate, I wonder if it still pays you good amount of $$$
Hello, the journey is still going pretty good as there's been no setbacks since I went heavier into this method back in the summertime.

They're still paying me well as I only made a little over $200 for September a couple of weeks ago but that was to be expected because I didn't focus on it as much as I made the mistake of focusing on my AdSense channels that didn't make any money for me during September. I think October will be way more when that payout is due in 2-3 weeks from now. I might not make $2k for a little while as I haven't reached those viewer totals since August yet.

The last three months I've been figuring out ways to make a full-time living from YouTube again after taking time away from it for 3 years after the rule changes in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and there was some hope two years ago when my friend told me about the Tony Montana Method also known as the Copy Claim Method where all you do is simply put music that you enter through YouTube's Content ID system through a digital label and make money from it. One of the reasons why I wasn't so high on it because I didn't realize for the longest until this summer that you actually needed the channel to have the same monetization standards that a monetized channel would have with 1k subs and 4,000 hours of watchtime. Had I known about this two years ago, I would've been way more aggressive with this method.

The change for me happened two weeks ago when I made $2.2k from my August 2021 earnings. The previous month I made $200+ which was a new high at the time. It seemed like the method was a waste of time or should just be used as extra income. I was making $30 a month from the method for a while but since I used it in the summer more aggressively, I can now see the complete potential in this method. My friend and another BlackHatWorld member have made thousands off the method but I needed to make a lot more which was why I didn't really focus on it.

I had around 2.7 million views in August and that gave me $2.2k so now I know how much I'd probably need to make that type of a number so lately I've been really focused on one of my bigger channels.

My only problem is that since one of my labels dropped me back in January for cheating with this method, I won't know when my other two labels will drop me. For now, I'll keep using it until they catch me but I'm still focused on YPP but those channels will grow at my own pace and slowly.

I love copy claim because I can basically upload copyright videos the old school way with no transformation or spending any extra money on a voice over artist.

It's definitely worth it for anybody who succeeded on YouTube back in the day with copyright content.
im interested in learning this can you message me about this?

Yeah copyright claim method still works. Im still making passive income every month from it even though I havent needed to use it since like February of this year. You just gotta be careful not to abuse it(dont upload videos every single day using it) and making sure you dont get too many views cause then you will likely get flagged.

hello .. I have many channels in management and collaboration and I make millions of views .. I would like to collaborate with you in order to make the most of this situation ..

Hello yes I would be interested. Let's talk through messages.

Did you get 2.2k usd from this claim method or with ypp program with adsense ? just to be clear.

Will do!

Yeah, once you get enough videos that can generate a certain amount of videos that make the amount that you feel comfortable with making every month you don't even really need to concentrate on it which is my goal so I can focus more on upcoming YPP channels. That's true too as it seems that the tricky part is getting flagged for getting way too many views and making too much money especially if you are just starting out with that network you don't want to be succeeding too fast. In my niche, it's mainly trending stuff so it doesn't get searched for heavily after a few days and that keeps my views down below a point where it gets too much attention. My goal is just to make either $1k-$3k a month from this as extra money, nothing too huge like I have planned for with my AdSense channels.

I have heard from people though if you get in the right MCN that you won't get dropped for getting too many views with this method but the hardest part is actually finding someone who's willing to share those networks with us as people seem to be keeping that close to the vest for whatever reason.

Did you get 2.2k usd from this claim method or with ypp program with adsense ? just to be clear.
That was definitely from copy claim method and that was my highest month of all-time so far but had that channel been partnered with AdSense it would've cleared $4k-$5k easily. That's why I would recommend spending time on your YPP channels a little more than copy claim channels.

ar but had that channel been partnered wit
2.2k usd with copy claim method in a short amount of time its reaaly good. if you can get paid of course without get banned .
i heard something from a friend that he told me without lyrics music would be a problem . so may ı ask you how many songs do you have on content id and are those without lyrics ?

I've been doing it for two years but yeah, to get that all in a month opened my eyes at the potential of this method but the thing that sucks like you said is making too much money in a given month to get frozen.

That's interesting what your friend said as I've been using instrumentals only for this method but he might be onto something about not having lyrics or a singer in it. I have about 3-5 songs on DistroKid and on CD Baby, I put like a whole album on there of 15 songs that I originally had on TuneCore before they let me go back in January.

The method works well, you just need to find a good network or distributor that pays.
Exactly, that's the key you just need a good network or distributor who pays and doesn't really drop people from their network. This is where this method becomes gold but until then we're just waiting on the inevitable drop from these networks.

Try to use more songs. thats my friend says me. his earnings 24k euro btw.
he uses 1 song to 20 video max.

Also are you using tv shows and animes kind of like that stuff. ?

OP mind explaining to me in a simpler way how the copyright methods work? I read the entire post and still confuse lol!

That's awesome that's a lot of Euro as that's like $27k or $27,000 thousand in USD. If you find out what network he's using give me a DM because that's the key as so many of these networks don't want you to make more than $5k in a given month using this method.

Yeah, I'm working on getting more music into DistroKid so that I don't have to use the same 3 songs as I heard that causes flags as well. I was waiting on my next DistroKid payout to get more new music made and to pay for it.

I haven't tried anime just yet but I know that's what a ton of people in this method use. I have tired TV shows and movies but I mainly do sports because it trends so easily.

LOL! I understand but try watching this video first:

This might sound stupid but... Should your uploaded video already have your music on it? or should you select it from youtube music library? thanks
