URGENT 25K SHOPIFY BILL from VISA

I just woke up to a email from shopify for a non compliance assessment from Visa for €25,000 EUR!

The store was a print on demand canvas business which only got 3 orders no chargebacks and then was shut down,

I recently wanted to look at it again so i linked it to another store and paid to open the store,

I then decided to shut the store because i was done with it the next day i got this email asking for a Non compliance fee of 25K which i cant afford what do i do? They threatening to shut my account which will effect my other store which has been going for 4 years. This is on top of me loosing my job yesterday,

Please if you see this give me some advice i really need some help.

it was a smilier business to this https://artivation.co.uk only 3 orders no chargebacks and was shut down December last year. I don't get Visas problem they will happily take payments on ali express where there is loads of copyright infringement.

I've ran successful 6 figure drop shipping stores on shopify but never seen this is there another platform you'd recommend.

i just dont think i should pay 25,000 fine for a business that didn't even make 1k and was just replicating other businesses that use visa and have no issues.

If i was to migrate my store away from shopify whats the most business friendly platform where i won't receive rape fines and high exposure to these sort of infringements. i dropship replica hip hop fashion clothing, which i guess could get one of these fines, i do it on a low level about 20k revenue a month. I dont want to be under threat of having my business frozen. only have to deal with payment gateways.

Looks like a nice way to collect $25k cheque, nice pay day for them. Don't reply to these clowns. As far as the debt collection service goes, play ignorant, say you never got such email and you don't even know what Shopify is.

It's not debt, it's just a fine, once these clowns realise, they cannot finesse you out of 25k, they'll leave you alone.

I wonder how much Shopify is going to pocket out of this.

Does OP have to pay this fine or else face jail time and criminal record with law enforcement after him?
Or is this just a scare tactic to get him to stop selling copyrighted/trademarked products
and/or to just shut his entire shopify businesses down?

In other words, if he just shuts down all of his shopify stores, will this 25K bill go away?

I've never used shopify before to sell but now this makes me think twice. I sell on ebay
but i'm basically dropshipping on ebay and I wonder if a similar thing can happen to ebay sellers
dropshipping products that belong to other brand names/companies?

Well.. if you sell replica hip hop fashion then you would know someday a big brand will try to knock you down. You're playing with their trademarks and they got massive money and a ARMY of lawyers.

I believe they can't jail you over fines issued by non-state parties.

Yes information on this would be helpful, The account is registered as a business so surely im personally protected if they came after me. i have transferred ownership of my 6 figure store away from the store and account with the fine so hopefully preventing action being taken out on that. Visa just a joke cant process ali express payments then come after me for drop shipping stuff of that..

Ive been asked to remove stuff before and have, anyone that messages about a product can have it removed of site. i always refund people who arent happy.

That's not the issue - some lawyer or a copyright infringements takedown team saw your Shopify store and some trademarks (I think) and just noted your website. They report those websites in batches to VISA / Shopify, which just redirects everything to you, since you agreed with their Terms of Service. Had you any brand names on the art?
