This is probably the best point against this i've heard. The dislike/like ratio has saved us from wasting hours and hours on tutorial vids that don't solve the problem.

You know what? I have another (conspiracy) theory about why they are doing so.
i know a few people including me who dislike videos anytime there’s a non skippable ad. After I started doing it for quite some time, they started showing me dislike button on the ads itself. I still continued clicking dislike button on the video itself. Content creators please excuse me lol.
If there are more users like me, this won’t be out of the equation.

Never used it myself, neither found it to be useful. But i don't watch anything else on Youtube than the videos of my subscribed channels and music videos, where this signal is not important.
If it weren't for the constant like-begging from the creators, i'd have forgotten it a long time ago, that there's a like/dislike button on Youtube.

That is really weird behaviour. I have honestly never met anyone who takes the time to dislike a video (unless it's really bad), and now I see this absurdity.
Why would you dislike a video based on the ad in front of it? Creators cannot control what ads come on it.
Also, why on earth you're not using adblock?? Wtf?

Adblock does not work on android tv. I did this as an experiment to see what they come up with. And i see it. I have Alteast 3 more users who would do the exact same. It’s not about the creators for me, it’s about youtube showing me non skippable ads. I hate those, and consider this as a revenge. Moral? I couldn’t care less, at least on bhw where people sell dislikes as a service.
P.s. if you have a kid at home, you will understand the sentiment.

Also to add to this.. I have prime, Netflix and hotstar premium subscription. If you show me quality videos, I will pay you. Not gonna get red for seeing how nord vpn can help you with your mastarbation habit, and so on. Deliver me quality, will pay you. Otherwise, ouckk fuff.
