almost 14k organic search all of a sudden...
i'm usually getting between 600 to 1.3k each day but yesterday was different
do you think it's a new google update?

You can easily see if there's a spike in search volume or a change in positions, assuming these are not bots. We're approaching Black Friday, Thanksgiving, Cyber Monday, and Christmas, so there are a lot of search trends going on at once.
Anyway, It's always a nice thing to see these things

The raise doesn't look natural, though. Best case scenario you might have gotten viral on a post but even so.. a 20x increase of traffic in one day looks more like artificial traffic. Make sure you aren't under attack from bots or something. If it is real traffic, good for you

Even so.. Getting ranked directly for 14.000 traffic daily would mean you got on the first place for a really big keyword. If news outlets would send the traffic, it would be referral traffic and not organic. Anyway, if you're sure it is real traffic, good for you, hope it lasts

the funniest thing is that the article which blew up is ranking in 10th position right now... at the time it started it was probabably at the first position

honestly could be just that but probably no, I think a lot of people are just preparing for holidays now and stuff so a big chunk of people is just searching stuff, I am you can view if it is the search volume or what is it exactly
