Charging monthly for GMB reviews

Has anybody tried this? I always see methods involving selling GMB/Yelp/Facebook reviews to local businesses, and it's obviously a decent way to make some cash. but why not charge monthly to keep the fake reviews online?

Maybe it's too along the lines of selling canned air, but if I was to do it, to the client I would say something to the effect of "For x amount of dollars per month, I'll keep your rating above a 4.5 at all times", and then mention maintenance of the reviews themselves and how they may need to be replaced periodically. Because let's be honest, it isn't hard to stay above a 4.5 these days as a business owner, so if they're in the sub 3 star range, their business is probably just really shitty and they'll inevitably come back for more reviews. Could be a killer business model.

What do you guys think?

I have 3 clients that are subbed for this specific thing. two restaurants and one unrelated parliament member. Same thing though, I run automated customer care on their reviews to maintain above ★4.5; the difference is I have monthly budget for comps. (and for the PM, access to her secretary).

I promoted it as customer care, not orm though.

That's awesome man. I might start something similar on the side. Reviews really can make or break a business nowadays

I think it's a good idea but explain it like @koulde as an ORM service while you monitor them.
