Master Degree on Blockchain/Crypto Field

Blockchain is the future of the financial system as many financial institutions adopt some part of technology in their blueprint. However, there are not many "certified" professionals in this field. So what do you think guys about taking Master Degree in this field? And which university offers this opportunity? I only found a couple but they are not from reputable university

i would say this is more or less your answer. if you need even further confirmation, check for the kinds of jobs this master degree supposedly would prepare you for, and check if they are specifically
asking it. there is lots of master degrees out there that sound cool and trendy and don't go anywhere, so do a lot of investigation beforehand and be honest with yourself

actually, I am not looking for a job per se, but I am looking to build my reputation. There are courses from MIT and some other reputable Uni but they are not offering blockchain-related graduate degrees, unfortunately. Do you think it is better to wait for those Uni offer the opportunity or take the not so popular Uni?

Blockchain / DeFi companies are always started by hustlers with a broad and wide perspective of the world, free thinkers and such people do not care if one has a degree or not. They more look for what specific skills a person has in Blockchain / DeFi and degrees do not matter for these Blockchain / DeFi companies. My neighbour's son (in India) is a 20 year onld kid who finished only high school and then he self-learnt Blockchain & DeFi (no diploma in it, nothing) and he developed good specialized skills within Blockchain / DeFi & he keeps self-updating his skills and now works for a leading Defi project, salary they pay him is US$4000 per month (equivalent in INR) and he works from home. And his example is not an exception in Blockchain / DeFi, it is quite common. If you are thinking about Blockchain / DeFi, then a degree is useless.
Exceptions may be incase some vintage Indian companies (Tata, Reliance, Birla, etc) enter (or entered) the Blockchain / DeFi space, they will look ONLY for degrees (skills are secondary and sometimes the least important for them).
NOTE : My last sentence may be a bit over exaggerated (but ONLY a bit).

Hi, I do agree with you that titles may not have relevance on blockchain/DeFi. Perhaps I am not that clear on the thread, actually, I have a sponsor that will pay for my master degree, since it is free I think it is better used for a field that I like and able to build my reputation in the future. But as I said above, I am not convinced whether it is worth it or not, if it isn't then perhaps I will take other degree like Digital Economy

@kingvestor Thank you for clarifying. See, if you do a degree or masters degree, that would be 2 or 3 years to complete and for the Blockchain/DeFi degrees don't matter and you will waste 2 to 3 years. So, the smart thing you could do is just do a 1 or 2 month certificate / diploma in some specialization within the blockchain/DeFi space and with that you can get a job (long term project) in Blockchain/DeFi, even in big DeFi projects they look ONLY for relevant specific skills and they pay very well. While you are working for them, keep updating yourself and getting some certifications relevant to Blockchain/DeFi and keep going that way .... If you are always "on top" with relevant skills, you will keep growing.
