omg, whichever dev idea to update widget to whatever the shitfest it is now, needs to be fired killed.
whoever approved the dumb idea needs to be shot too.
Are you using the classic widget plugin aswell?
https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-widgets/

Yeah my love, I do not like that new look. I love the old way. So I'm using classic widget too.

The same reason I use Word 2010 to write in, I just like it’s layout and interface more than the current version, at times, good enough needs to be left alone and the wheel not reinvented, simple is more at times.

I hear u ... some things just dont need to be updated...

I can't stand the new WP editor, classic version every time. Happy Friday :)

I've tried the new editors quite a few times, hate them.

Always revert to classic.

Wordpress turned into pure junk, but who am I to judge. It's so complex for something so simple. Optimization of this crap is literally the toughest task if you stuff bunch of those stupid plugins for noobs. All purchased themes with no exceptions break. The design internally is often so bad I have to just let them go. Waste of time.

There are some attempts to save us from the disaster, but they often rely on laravel and stuff noobs won't understand.

You can get the best of both worlds, anyone tried? https://flatsite.com or similar solution .. =)
I used flatsite on a project and built 600 PBN on $200000 worth of non dropped domains.

Having dealt with 6 months of flatsite not managing to deploy a single site correctly we ended our contract and decided to move on as the system:

1. doesn't work
2. leaves multiple footprints
3. has nonexistent support
4. fakes its own reviews on all platforms

flatsite agreed to assist with the migrate out, they then:

1. broke the server (turns out it was just a shitty low level vps not even a dedi)
2. admitted they do not keep backups

I think in total around $3000000 was lost directly due to flatsite, 8 people lost jobs and me personally, I had to abandon that project, let my team go and lost what would have been around $600000 in profit for myself.

The domains were ruined for PBN and lost index or had the footprint riddled broken output from flatsite deployed on it.

When I see people suggesting flatsite without very clear examples of it not being the worst company I have ever encountered in 20 years of experience, I like to drop a note regarding my experience.

I would not wish flatsite.com on my worst enemy.

When you lose literally millions, what's even the point of shitlisting, these guys are criminally negligent and there is no place for them in this business.

You have all been warned.

Sorry to hear about the troubles you suffered under flatsite, but thanks for sharing it with us. You may of saved others from a similar fate.

I know I have never heard of them until this thread. I decided to check them out and was playing around with the idea of using them. But thanks to you, that is off the table. I really appreciate this kind of post. It's good to know what companies are garbage.

I am personally loving Elementor.
Literally saved me countless hours, that thing.

WPBakery must be a plenty good editor as well, tho I haven't really tried it yet.

I think, as long as the classic editor is working fine, there is no need for change. However, if you encounter anything which cannot be fixed with classic editor, then you can think about moving on. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with the classic one.

No problem, glad to have helped, flatsite.com had a devastating impact on all of us, most incompetent company I have ever dealt with, 100% flatsite are criminally negligent.

On a lighter note, do check out hardypress, which actually performs the functions flatsite.com lies about being able to perform :)
