Dislike buttons tend to create friction. I think we’re fine the way it is now. I’d like more reactions like wow or love though (or even a “thanks” one, as a tribute to the old thanks button).

I guess it's because everybody getting married , that's why it's dead. I can hear the crickets..

We once had a negative rep button here, but it was removed due to the number of members abusing it.

Considering how many members use the "haha" reaction sarcastically (i.e., it's not being used as intended), there's no reason to think that a dislike button wouldn't be abused as well.

We had a discussion on negative reactions on the reaction system, and none of those will be added in either. In such scenarios, we look to the likes of LinkedIn and those with massive budgets to spend on mind-probing infractions around such things. The negative buttons just create drama that we don't want or need on the forum.

Spammers and trolls are dealt with via the report buttons.
