you can't win by law, this is not some case worth of anybody attention, and he is probably tier 3 country = you can't do shit

obviously some guys here consider some legal options, but that won't work, who knows if that can work for tier 1

you need to scam way bigger amount to be targeted, and mostly it won't work with random individuals

I see an issue as if they were part of the original complaint, even as employees, they are as responsible as him if they did not contact staff as to how bad things were.

Wow really? So he scammed ppl of about $200K total and this is not worth anybody's attention in the law enforcement? That's kinda good news I guess haha.
Then I should be pretty safe with my business reselling brand name stuffs cuz I was getting a little worried a company might come after me for selling their stuff on ebay...a few dozen orders only amounting to a few thousand dollars so that's nothing compared to wengthemeng lol.

Besides, if it was illegal, I'm sure ebay would have just told me first and de-listed my listings or suspended me but they haven't.

I'm a little surprised there isn't more traction or updates on this case. Something still doesn't sit right with me. I don't think he intended to scam from the start. I don't think he was scheming and building a trap. I still think Weng was a sincere and honest guy who was doing well and found a niche for himself. Everything he talked about, the way he said it, explained it, his mannerisms, his vocal intonations, gestures, body language, etc., doesn't give off "scammer" to me, even though he technically is now. I think something else happened that he didn't anticipate. Nobody seems to know what. Either he took on way too many orders than he expected and couldn't deliver on them and got tempted by half a million dollars and decided to just bail out or he really needs that money right now for some kind of emergency and has been
away from his work focusing on a more pressing issue in his life.

I still don't get why anyone would post their own face on so many social platforms, videos, and advertise himself all over the world and the internet if he knew he was going to scam ppl out of hundreds of thousands and then become a fugitive on the run. He's not dumb. He would have to know that he could never use his face again
and people would recognize him the moment he pops up in ANY BH circle, forum, venue, event, etc.

Also, it sounds like some people lost 4k, 10k or more on this guy and either those people are filthy ass rich (they probably are because no poor guy is going to put 10k into someone he's never met for a service that isn't really proven at the highest of levels). So maybe if you are one of those folks who lost 4k or 10k on him still sucks but I have a feeling a lot of those people are just going to let this go and they aren't going to bother to waste more time on it because 10K isn't a big deal to them. They probably rake in a yearly income of around 200K to 2 million a year. I asked this question a long time ago on BH just to get a ballpark figure of how much people earn or how much wealth they have and since that question was sort of frowned upon, almost like I walked into a "no-go zone" and taboo topic, tells me there are hella rich people on here hehe.

Which leads me to my next suspicion. If so many people got scammed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, surely some of you guys must already be quite well established and have a large network? Why don't you spread the news and make videos and posts on your YT channels, IG, FB, TikToks, WP, Vlog sites, Twitch, u name it....why don't they just get his face and name out there and surely it can't be ignored with such a widespread platform. We don't know exactly who and how much, but we know there are hella rich ppl on here and ppl who are massively followed on YT and other platforms....u have access to millions of followers, so why not use your powers to get this resolved? It sounds like nobody is going to do anything about it.

Sorry, my mind is just coming up with all kinds of questions and scenarios and it bothers me that this thread isn't really going anywhere considering how many ppl got scammed and how much money too.

I know neither of you (@MrDenz and @YTMonetized ) mentioned @dddoyz by name - so this is not about you. I just want to point out a couple of things.

1. @dddoyz, I noticed (but didn't consider suspicious) your profile because you didn't post anything after Dec 2020 and became active again around June 2021 when wengthemeng started having his troubles. Along with that, you opened your service right after (or very close to when) wengthemeng was banned. Initially, those were red flags to me.
However, to be clear, I have bookmarked your thread as a potential video provider, and I was analyzing your posts from that angle. I am sure you understand that buyers have to do their due diligence. This is not a BST, so I will contact you regarding that separately.

2. To the rest of you: If you check the posts of dddoyz and wengthemeng, it is clear that wengthemeng's main tools were Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro X, whereas dddoyz's favorites are Videoscribe and Doodly. So, they are (most likely) not the same person.

Disclaimer: I don't know either of them. As always, do your due diligence before working with ANY service provider.

Also, it sounds like some people lost 4k, 10k or more on this guy and either those people are filthy ass rich (they probably are because no poor guy is going to put 10k into someone he's never met for a service that isn't really proven at the highest of levels). So maybe if you are one of those folks who lost 4k or 10k on him still sucks but I have a feeling a lot of those people are just going to let this go and they aren't going to bother to waste more time on it because 10K isn't a big deal to them.

Obviously in hindsight it was very dumb of me to invest 4k up front especially through BTC, I guess that can be called a rookie mistake. When you see the potential in passive earnings from YouTube as many here do, the potential and greed clouds judgement very easily.

Thankfully I take the same advice in my side-hustles as most people use in gambling: "Don't spend money you can't afford to lose", so I'm not completely fucked afterwards even if the videos never made any money (or I get scammed). I'm not rich by any meaning of the word so obviously it stings.

I guess another factor that helped ease entry into this scam is that I've never seen anyone scam people and get away with it on BHW in the few years that I've lurked here, so I wouldn't have guessed it could happen to me/us, especially with a guy as well-spoken/public as wengthemeng.

I feel like most of the scammed people are similar to myself in the fact that we don't live in the U.S and have no experience with law(enforcement), especially internationally and I automatically assume it would end up costing a lot more in time, effort and money to try and do something like sue the man (especially after paying with crypto, there are no chargebacks). This definitely could be due to a falsified view of the American justice system I have solely from the media 'clickbait news' and Hollywood...

I sincerely hope he gets what's coming to him, but it does seem very bleak.
