Hi All!

Welcome to my new exciting journey. My Goal is to reach $200,000 revenue with creating NFT's on Opensea.

What's an NFT?
Non-fungible token.
NFTs can really be anything digital (such as drawings, music, your brain downloaded and turned into an AI), but a lot of the current excitement is around using the tech to sell digital art.

My Basic Plan
  1. Hire an Artist
  2. Create Rarity Within the Art Variations
  3. Create XX,XXX NFT's
  4. Create Website with Roadmap
  5. Upload to Opensea and Promote
  6. Big $$$
Month 1
This month has gone by very fast. I have already hired an artist that has created variations, I have my outline of the website and roadmap and have started uploading my pre-launch NFT's to Opensea with a floor price of 0.01 ETH ~ $37 per piece.

I have created a roadmap where, if I sell out of NFT's $15,000 will be donated to a charity that resonates largely with what the NFT's are about. This will be part of the hook to buy one.

Within a few days of launching my first few NFT's I have had 4 sales. This is pretty mad to me, as it's nearly paid back my artist's costs already.

Spend - $240
  • Artist
  • Hosting
Income - $150
  • 4 NFT's Bought
This is now where it will start to get hard, I need some help with outreach and "Shilling"

Month 2
Shilling shilling shilling....
If you've not heard of this term before, it's used widely in the NFT and Crypto communities but it boils down to "A shill is a hustler or con-person who tries to convince other people to buy something or think something is great (shilling)."

This comes in many different forms, giveaways, self-promotions on Reddit, Twitter, any socials, paying for people to promote your token or nft etc etc the list goes on.

I need to provide a sustainable, outreach to users that haven't heard about my NFT's yet.

My main two ways of tackling this will be
  • Twitter
  • Reddit
Then after outreaching, I will need to retain the users. I will get them into a discord that is hype around the project.

Twitter
Twitter is a huge player when it comes to NFT's and self-promotion, if you can get even one account automated that will follow, unfollow, and like users' posts based on certain categories they follow or keywords, you're onto a winner.
My initial bot of choice for this would have been Followliker, however upon testing this a week ago, it's now unsupported and unusable. I will be switching to something like Jarvee and trying to scale to 10 accounts all targeting different subgroups of NFT holders.

Reddit
Reddit has subreddits for self-promotion, giveaways, all of that stuff. It's great and so far I've seen my post get huge amounts of traction, some with over 100 upvotes and getting into the top 5 of the day in the opensea subreddits which have over 400k users. Commenting on other big nft posts is also a great way of getting your name out. Using tools like Howitzer will let me DM people, however I will need to be very careful trying this as I will probably get shadowbanned rather fast if spamming too much.

Discord
Discord is going to be how I retain users, get people already in the community hyped up. So far I am not too sure how this is going to go. As I've not used it much in the past. I will try and get a discord manager that will be onboard with the project and I will pay them in NFT's if they're helping shill the project too.

Stay tuned. I will keep this thread up to date with how many NFT's I've sold and the wins and losses that I've made with outreach.

Discord can help in growing also if you create a contest for people to invite. Find out recent successful NFT launch and reverse engineer their tactics

Also, whats the difference between listing straight on Ethereum or going through Polygon?

Yeah I will definitely have to do this!
How much do you pay to opensea?
Do you have to pay any transaction fees?
I pay 2.5% of a sale to opensea
I am selling through polygon so there's no listing or gas fee for me. It's the only reason I started this as listing with ETH is actually horrendous.

I never understand NFT .., I know it's like buying rare game skin (as I'm a gamer myself). but still, it feels weird when you implement it in real 'business' ..
anyway, I will follow this journey!! good luck!

good luck mate, this market is a little saturated

People would really pay A LOT for digital art work from a new or uknown artist?

Interesting journey

Can you show some samples on how your NFTs look like , not necessarily yours

I've been thinking about doing something similar.
The market is getting saturated fast.

Interested!

Can you explain more about this 2: Create Rarity Within the Art Variation

Thanks and good luck!

Thanks and good luck!

Lets say that we have 10 different hat variations
5 of those hats could make up 80% of the total amount of hats on art, so each of those hats is 16% rare,
the other 5 could make up 20%, which makes them 4% rare, so the artwork with the 4% rare will be worth more in theory. e.g.

Look at the image that i've attached of the pudgy penguins, they have properties attached to the NFT with the rarities.
