Nothing will happens to your banner if it is not against the rules. But if it is, kiss it bye bye!
Just thought of giving you tips from my personal experience. If your signature has been removed at one time or the other for Signature rules violation, or if you are planning to post a banner (animated banner) on your signature space anytime soon, then you may benefit from the experience I'm going to share. Many people make a lot of money from their signature space and this is why you should care how you go about this provision from BHW.
Lot of banners are being removed from Signature space. Sadly, most users who have their signature removed are not aware of it. Take a look at the screenshot below.
The user is probably not aware that there is a problem with his signature. Look at the text I underlined. This is a notice from a Mod and you may not immediately see it. I got such written on my Signature space without me knowing until I saw and deleted it. Then, I sought to know why my banner was removed since it has been there for sometime without issue.
First, I must commend @Heiko for his guidance and help in resolving the issue I had and for his blessing to publish this thread.
If your banner got removed, you definitely have violated the rule. You may feel you have followed everything right. I felt same too, but …….
Before I continue, you may want to read the rules guiding Signature space. Go HERE

I know you may think everything there is clear enough. However, majority of us still go against it. And maybe your graphic designer don’t understand it. In my case, I had my designer making several edits and sent it to Heiko to help check if everything was right (don’t get me wrong. I’m not asking anyone to be sending their banner to any Mod for approval before posting. They are busy guys and I hope you respect that). I believe, by posting this thread, you can make everything right yourself and never have to get your banner removed or disturbing any Mod.

- Read the RULES and UNDERSTAND IT
- Avoid fading texts and unnecessary animated symbols.
- Refresh rate for each frame should not be less than 3 second. A lot of people get it wrong here. Adding some fading texts and symbols can create a problem for refresh rate.
- Avoid animation, texts fading in and out, sliding that cause refresh rate to move rather faster.
- Rather than using fading and other animations, just let the section of each of the texts change after 3 seconds.
- If you must use logo or symbol, their refresh rate also counts. So, make sure the refresh rate do not collide with the texts.
- In sum, use this: Text 1 -> Appears 3 Seconds -> Text 2 -> Appears 3 Seconds -> Text 3 -> Appears 3 Seconds... and so on. JUST CHANGE NO ANIMATION! If you observe my banner, you will notice it follows this formula.
