Hello,

I purchased a huge combo of news website press release links. And I realized that all of them are no-follow links. I also have to wait to see them indexed. (It has been more than a month). These posts were made in very high profile websites, such a yahoo, CNN, forbes, etc... But these links being no-follow (and maybe never indexed), do you think it was worth it?

If you get cheap press release:no
If you get good press relase like Yahoo: Yes, even if it's nofollow
Yahoo press release is usually seperated from common press release package selled in this forum and other marketplace like fiverr etc.

Premium press release in only one news website can cost $100-800 on website like TechTimes and other

Press release worth, most of good sites are no follow but link or mention from good sites worth.

Its good for link diversity, but at what cost is the question. I know most of the PR services that do the 200 to 300 media outlet distribution on BHW is the same service resold from an original $10 blast.

This is correct. I think Yahoo isn't part of the package. But that package almost always contain the same set of sites. I think that if these pages aren't even indexed, this may be a bad sign. Unless some of you have seen their articles indexed?

I would love to have someone reports about what impact posting a press release on Yahoo or TechTime had on their ranking (with a no-follow link).

Those duplicated news stories do get picked up maybe 50% of the distribution naturally, and I blast GSA for the rest.

It's basic seo knowleged that the site(s) you got your links from (do follow or no follow) will determind it value.

The cheap press releases will mostly make damage to your site, no matter of follow or nofollow, they are all known by google and recognized as a spam. the expensive, one site press release may work. you'll know what's working or not based on how much you pay. either way, personally i wouldn't go with any, time for press releases is mostly over, there are better ways.

Ok thanks. I'll avoid PR then.

Hi incase you dont mind stating the other better ways?
Thanks :)
Ahaha sure, I mean, there are not 100% absolute 100% good ways, other than natural backlinks, which is when a person visits, likes your website and decide to write about you. ;) This said, since it doesn't happen often of course, I believe acquiring backlinks from normal websites, better if in your niche, it's still the best way. Try to use ahrefs website, backlink checker, it's free. Analyze competitors and see what backlinks they have got. Try to build the same by contacting the websites, or if there's a way to post for free (forums, etc), build a similar link. There's also guest posting, when you contact the website and you pay for a sponsored article. Also, you may find a few on Fiverr offering this service. Buy from people that run one website, not huge lists, those are PBNs, not good. Ask for the website and analyze it with ahrefs, check if their backlinks that built their authority are spammy or not, before you buy the link.

This way sounds clean and good tbh

Press Release services are good for websites/webpages that are new and are preferably in local business. PR helps you website get initial traction, link diversity as well as authority, Do Follow or No Follow doesn't matter much as long as its being published on sites/niches that are relevant for your audience.

It takes the brand to reach the large number of people and it is one of the way of building links and helps in diversity
