Hello, I want to start a new venture but I have questions.

I will do Poster Printing. I've looked at websites in the industry that do this work, and many sites use images that could definitely be copyrighted. For example: They sell images of NBA players, Formula 1 racers, movie posters, images of characters in games such as League of Legends and Valorant, by converting them into Posters. How can they generate commercial income by using images, icons or original images of game characters from such big companies? How do big companies allow this? Or how do they justify themselves?

You mean counterfeit products.
Your description is correct for those who do this job in the industry. Because these companies sell their copyrighted and licensed designs by printing posters. And I'm pretty sure that big companies don't even know that such a sale has taken place. Because as you said, it's kind of fake. In addition, I will send a visual link of a few products they made.
There are also companies that have been selling for about 8 years. I wonder how they justify themselves about copyright.

Posters sold by a few companies engaged in poster printing in the sector;

The images they sell include the logos and visuals of the companies. How can they use these images in commercial sales?

There is so many companies that steal images that copyright holders could make a business of suing them.

Do you think I should do this with images that are not copyrighted or have an "extended" license purchased from the creator of the image? looks very lucrative. The cost is very low, but the demand seems high.

Surely!

Yes. you can buy licenses which allows digital printing and it's 100% legit.

Trying to print copyrighted material will result in a lawsuit, sooner or later. I paid heavily for these things in the past, learned my lesson.
