Direct traffic? Need advise

Hi Guys!

I am new to SEO stuff and recently started a website in July this year, till date I have got hardly 3 - 4 clicks from organic search apart from that I am not getting any visitor on my site.
But suddenly I have started getting visitors since last month (September), traffic source is "direct / none" in google analytics, bounce rate is very less and average session time is 1 to 2 mins. The traffic landing page is "/" which means my home page. And to this day I am getting 50 to 100 visitors everyday.

I need your advise on how can I find the source of this traffic? Is it good for my site? If not...How can I stop this traffic?

check the raw stats in your hosting's cpanel and see which domain sends the traffic and block it with a function from the cpanel (I don't remember which one, though)

Thanks! I dont know what is raw stats but I do find "raw access" in cpanel and i downloaded that file, opened it in excel delimited value by space but the subject line was missing, unfortunately i couldn't understand anything from this file. Is there any other way?

in your cpanel you should see a section like the one inside of the red rectangle in the image below. Click on the Awstats icon and check the visitors that have come to your homepage and see which website / domain is the referrer.

And if it's a domain that you feel is suspicious / bad / whatever just block that domain or its IP with the IP Blocker function (it's just below the METRICS section in the image below)

Thanks for reply, I checked "Awstats" and found IP addresses, all traffic is coming directly there is no referring sites. But the data its reflecting is from 1st to 6th Oct and in these dates I have two organic visitors. I think the IP address is including my IP, organic visitors IP and even search engine bots IP. Unknowingly I don't want to block organic visitors IP or crawler IP

please check the screenshot of the awstats and google analytics from 1st to 6th.

There is no option to compare these results simultaneously, I can either view it by IP or by dates, country, browser etc, but one thing at a time I cannot filter these results to compare side by side.

Had it been referral traffic you could have done what I said (block the domain / its IP from your cpanel), but since it's direct traffic I don't know how to deal with it.

In your original post you said that you want to find the source of this traffic. Well, the source is: direct traffic. Meaning, people (or bots) simply type your domain name into the browser and hit ENTER (if bots can even do that lol). Most likely it's bot traffic, in which case I really don't know what to tell you because I've not dealt with bot traffic before.

Never mind. Thank you for your time.
I will check with my hosting provider hopefully they can help me in this case.
