Do you suggest using the so called indexers like one hour indexer etc? They look spammy to be honest. Do you use indexers?
use them, but they won't make much of a difference. No indexer that I know of works well anymore so... as Jews use to say: "just like it won't help, likewise it won't hurt"
Then you must have done so many things wrong if you cant rank extremely low comp keywords on your so called authority site
I may have done one thing wrong (I rarely care about SEO-optimizing my sites by the book), but I've definitely not done "so many things" wrong.
As for that low competition keyword, I begin to doubt that it's low competition. A low competition keyword - in my mind - is one that you rank for without even creating content. Just publish a page / post on your site with the keyword in the title of the page and voila, you rank #1 for that keyword! That's what low competition keywords should be like. I suspect that Ahfres KD score is skewed because the keyword I've gone after had a KD score of 0 and yet, it doesn't rank. And yes, I also did my due diligence about this keyword. Something's fishy here...
There are so many factors that come into play when ranking on Google. Its not just about backlinks
wrong! Only money or hacking comes into play. Everything else is smoke and mirrors. 3-4 months ago I did some keyword research in the health & fitness niche, I checked about 15-20 different keywords that I wanted to rank for and the top 5 spots in google for ALL those keywords have been taken by websites breaking all rules of SEO. Most of the websites have been big brands or known websites in general (Cosmopolitan for example), but even the lesser known ones have been full of spam and non-optimized content that there's only one explanation for their constant rankings: black hat SEO or paying google lots of money through google ads to stay up top.
All those websites were having only ads about the fold, affiliate links everywhere (some of those links have not even been cloaked lol), 2-3 more popus opening up after I closed the initial one, 2 videos running in the background at the same time that I couldn't even scroll down to the content because I was being bombarded with videos in my face, one website was even ranking constantly on spots 5-6 for all of those keywords with broken URLs (each time I clicked on those URLs I got a "site can't be reached" page), and so on.
So, please, don't tell me that google values site speed, user experience, Core Web Vitals and other crap like that so much because it's not true. I may be not an expert SEOer (actually, I never claimed that I am), but I've done SEO for 12 years and I've run my tests to know what a whore google is. And they are a whore with most of my sites, just because I'm not genius enough to hack their algo, or because I don't have millions to pour into their greedy pockets each month,
-Whats your website's bounce rate on average? This is important because if the BR is high, Google will regard your website as a site with poor user experience, hence articles will rank poorly.
I don't know, nor do I care about it. My site is pretty, loads decently fast, and offers quality (unique, too) content, so if visitors land on my website they should have no problem loving my website. It's too pretty and too catchy, so bounce rate and other meaningless metrics shouldn't matter.
But yes, I agree with you that BR is important for google because google is too imbecile to figure out what's quality and what's garbage. Sadly, you are right. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna do anything about it. I'd rather wait (50 years from now if I have to) until Google starts thinking like me and starts loving me and my websites for how pretty and legitimate they are. And no, I'm not making fun of you. I do think like that... many times
-How do you structure your website? Is it done based on best on-page seo practice?
I don't follow any schema or other silly "practices" that google invents to keep the little guys like me out of their rankings. I always build and structure my websites based on common sense and my own personal taste and if I - as a user - find my own websites valuable and pretty so should other users. And that's all that should matter for google since they love bragging about user experience.
-Hows the speed of your website? Poor website speed = poor user experience in the eyes of Google
I didn't check, but it loads within 2-3 seconds and that's good enough. I'm not trying to win any race with google's servers, so the speed is fine if the content is good. And it's good, but google can't figure this out because they refuse to give me the delicious traffic because my website's speed or other idiotic metrics they invent is preventing them from seeing my website as legitimate. Either this, or I don't pay them millions of dollars (most likely this)
-did you add semantically related keywords in your articles for topical relevance?
Of course. This is actually one of the few SEO tricks I still use when I create content on my own, despite of some SEO experts claiming that google doesn't care about this anymore.
But anyway, this particular article that I'm talking about has been created following Frase's instructions, so it's pretty well SEO optimized. And again, the content is 100% unique, high quality and highly relevant to users intent. So, it should rank and make me millionaire over night (just kidding this time

), but... quora and few other pages without content apparently offer a much better user experience than my highly researched, perfectly-optimized content So, there's google for you!
Topical relevance is a ranking factor that Google crawlers use to determine how relevant your page is to user search terms and search intent
Mate, my entire website is about education, so the topical relevance is there
I dont know many other attributes of your website so I cant say for sure whats wrong with it
I know. And don't worry, I've not asked for your help, I was just posting 1) out of frustration and 2) to draw your attention to the fact that SEO is simple indeed when you're rich. But, as a webmaster without deep pockets you have to abide by all sorts of idiotic rules that google invents.
Anyway.... rant over....
Peace!
