Why do SEO Noobs love plagiarizing content?

I don't want to sound harsh or offensive. But it is getting annoying. Very annoying.

Some of my websites have their entire content plagiarized - every word, sentence, and even images.

When I go through their websites I realised all other articles were plagiarized too. The funny thing is they still had the time and effort to decorate and design their website so nicely (even site structure for SEO and so on), but don't have the time to write or source their own original content. What's the point? Google usually hates duplicate content and it's not like they are gonna rank theirs.

What would you do and have you experienced something similar? I know you can just file a DMCA takedown with Google or their webhost providers, but when you're facing many shameless plagiarizers it's tough hunting them down.

how did you even get to their website? was it through searching generic keyword like "seo", or did you search for a sentence to see who has copied your content?

Here's the funny thing... I know because I received trackbacks since my articles have links linking to other articles in my website.

Also, sometimes if the articles aren't ranking well (not in this case) I would copy sentences of my article and search in Google. And that's how I found out they were plagiarized.

Indeed, and don't forget duplicate content DOES rank if you have a white-listed domain.
By white listed I mean you can be CNN and copy the BBC pretty much and have no issues.

Googles rules change between big guys and little guys.

Oh yes, one of my older project sites became a victim to this. The plagiarizers copied and used it on high authority websites like Facebook, instagram, Youtube (video description) and parasite websites.

It is so bad that if you search for the exact article's paragraphs in Google, my website will not be shown because of that Google's...
In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the xx already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.

The only solution then is to just rewrite the whole article.

Most of the time, you couldnt even know the webhost because these pirate sites hide behind cloudflare.

Oh, you can complain to CDN providers too.

For example, cloudflare:
https://abuse.cloudflare.com/
CDN providers will take action too, since, technically, the content are stored on their CDN servers. So they are liable too.

Cloudflare is pretty well-known for not taking action or deliberately delaying from taking action against pirate sites.

On top of that, even if you manage to know the webhost which is hosting the content, they might still ignore copyright take down requests especially if the hosting companies are located in countries which have zero to minimal enforcement of copyright law.

The truth is...google hates low authority website. They don't care if your content original or copy from other website.

Correct, or Medium.com etc.
Google does not just factor in "First Indexed" with content but rather authority too.

Sadly authorship status tends to be given to the one with authority over age if the authority is great enough.

Worst tactic. Makes it hard to do link outreach. Although, I don't think every SEO noob is plagiarizing. Some of us spend time writing link-worthy content.

The reasons for why simply it's easy for them to do it and if you have an RSS feed they can use that to steal your content whenever you post new content as well and it costs them no money or very little to do this for why so many people do this.
