Why is CBD such a Blackhat-Niche?

As someone who collects a lot of data and does a ton of rep. suppression work, I can tell you negative SEO is alive and well my friend.
Show me case study and I will believe. It’s just a word against word.

Both of these are reputation suppression jobs, which used negative SEO techniques. As you can see, it's not just small publishers you can use negative SEO to remove out of the top 10, it also works with large authority websites.

*Disclaimer #1 - I do not partake in negative SEO unless the claims are unfounded, or false against a client.

**Disclaimer #2 - Please do not PM me, I will not respond to people asking about these methods. When it comes to normal SERPs, I play fair and square.

Okay, I kinda believe you. How old were these sites? And by negative SEO you mean only building millions of trash backlinks or something more?
I think if negative SEO would be so easy to do the attacks would be far more popular.

Did you look at the websites? Rueters.com, Seekingalpha.com, SEC.gov., etc... Again, I'm not going to get into specifics or tactics, because we don't need anyone getting any bright ideas, but it's not as simple as throwing millions of links to a page/website (hence why everyone isn't doing it). I posted this to simply show you that negative SEO does exist (I see it in many niches that I track) and it's not just low-level websites that it can happen to.
