Hi guys I have a problem with my YouTube channel with 26k followers and 50 videos, someone hacked my Gmail account linked with my YouTube channel, I can't use my phone number for recovering my password because it was changed, I don't have any 8-digit code to backup, and it's impossible to me to do something. How they avoided the 2-step authentication? Do I have ways to resolve this problem? Thanks

Contact google via a device that had that gmail account open and explain them the situation

They can bypass 2step if you have both devices on the same network.

How do we know it was your account only as you just joined the forum half an hour ago dude
I can post screen

You should have used 2-Step Verification. Sad. :weep:
I used it

It was if stolen , must be by the person who knows your password. Who knows you made some money out of it.
And there is nothing I can do?

I have my android phone but it is logged out from the account

get in touch with google and keep checking your channel for any hints on what kind of video is uploaded and stuff

The channel was blocked because they streamed a live with copyright, so it's not online now, but I want to try to recover my email before

Did you use the nulled Vidiq enterprise extension shared on this forum?

You can try account recovery options but there is no hope to get your channel back. I've lost several gmails as they don't accept old accounts even if I verify through email and mobile number. There is nothing you can do about it. As a last resort, you can contact them through all means including their social media handles.

Never heard this before.. so if you have 2 Factor enabled using Google Auth someone can still gain access to your channel and bypass the Google auth ? I didn't think that was possible.

You're pretty much screwed with this. I have an older YouTube channel, but don't have the phone used to create it, can't remember the password or info used to create it. You can try the YT Twitter account but without key info, they won't help (yes I tried that too). But let us know if you find a way to recover it? Good luck

If the device with the auth is connected to the same network yes its possible

When you say same network.. I think that's the part that was also confusing as well. Same network, what network are you referring to ? I'm logged into my channel on my computer. I"m also logged into my channel on my phone. Are you talking about the wifi network ? Sorry if this seems basic to you but again I have never come across this information before so... like a newb, I just want to make sure I understand.

While I have backup codes and the 2auth, I'd like to avoid the same issue the OP ran into.

Any additional insights you can provide would be helpful.

Good question, I'm talking about wifi network. If you have your pc and android device for example connected on same wifi network its possible.
It is also possible to bypass though cookies.

In my case, I have my pc connected to home wifi network and my phone with auth's connected exclusive to mobile 4g data, excluding that way any possible connections.
If you want to go really hardcore on security, find everything that is connected at same time in your pc and phone and exclude all connections.

Try posting on google support forums, or if you have another channel that is monetized, contact yt partner support.
Also try asking the phone provider if it's possible to recover that number.

If that fails, it's pretty much lost. Take it as a lesson and in the future have 2fa on and make sure your recovery info is up to date.
