Jr VIP Renewal Issue that Closes Sales Threads!

About 1 week in advance of my Jr Vip expiring I receive a reminder from @Diamond Damien which is fair enough.

I raised a support ticket and was told I cannot actually renew it until after it expires. So there will be a period where I will not be a Jr Vip.

But when Jr Vip expires all my sales threads automatically close even if I renew it asap.

So, perhaps a feature allowing you to renew your membership 1 week prior to expiry, in the reminder sent by @Diamond Damien might be beneficial and save unnecessary hassle.

Letting sales threads open for 24 hr after your jr memb has expired would also be a good alternative

I kind of second this. If it was possible to “top up”/stack jr vip subscription, it will solve these problems. I have paypal subscription on though.

The memberships are drawn against your payment method as registered here. https://www.blackhatworld.com/account/upgrades if you’re running a subscription and your payment method is valid your thread(s) remain open. However if your membership is a manual process then delays may happen for now, which we’re working on.
I can’t see your support request. Please pm me the ticket reference you would have received on ticket creation and I’ll look into your specific case personally.

There is a 7 day period where we notify you that your subscription is coming to an end 7,3 & 1 days before. After your subscription expires there are a further 7 days where you can renew and your thread will automatically reopen during which time we’ll keep trying your payment method notifying you each time until successful or otherwise (if you don’t want to renew that’s fine to there is an option in the emails to turn this off). After 14 days notice you’d usually need to have your thread re-reviewed.

something we’re looking into as an option going forward. But only by 1 year to help manage your cash flow. Use our new subscription via chargebee method and you’ll never have this issue. Raise a ticket with support if you’re interested or simply cancel your PayPal subscription.
