They don't have to tell you. you are clearly doing something they don't like so what do you expect? If anything Etsy does not suck, it shows they don't suck, they are good at what they do.

Not true at all. Etsy wont give the account back if it has been closed for doing something wrong or is connected to accounts or locations doing something wrong. and no they don't do this to every new account lol.

They also ban new accounts very easily when nothing is wrong, you have to email and you get your account back. And yes, I have multiple accounts recovered.

True, the system often gives false alarm. Recovered 2 shops already.

Edit: this only works if your account is indeed legit without doing anything wrong

You did not say that though. all you said was they "they are doing this to all new accounts" which is simply not true. I have never had a problem with Etsy or any of my **hundreds** of accounts disabled, to have had to go through this. I guess its how they are made or sourced or used that is causing them to be removed. I can't say its IP either as I have dozens of accounts on one residential account.

I'm just pointing out that the statement you made was not correct. They do not disable every new account created.

No one is doubting someone can email support with some BS story to get an account back, but they should not be getting disabled in the first place. As the user above you pointed out, they only do this if it is a legit account or if it has been flagged in error, needless to say this does not happen to every new account.

Hypothetically, somebody could easily infringe upon somebody's IP by making handmade items.

My point resulted from the fact they were also banning non-stealth account of actual users using their own pc/ip/etc, so nothing wrong with the source or how the account is used.

Their Algo is rubish, so many false positives, had an account suspended a couple of years ago for using the work "DuckTape" in an avert lol. I appealed and it was reinstated in 24 whores. Etsy gets hammered by fly-by-nights selling shit and fake stuff, they are anal about new accounts.
