Etsy account disabled

2 months ago I've made an account and shop on Etsy. After I sold my first item and shipped it, they disabled/closed my account.
I've never had an account on Etsy and all the information was real, no stealth accounts and stuff like that.
I was selling handmade items made by me.

They never sent me a warning or any email at all. I did all by the books. I paid all my fees immediately and the tracking number was provided the same day item was shipped.

After my account got disabled, in a period of 2 months I've sent 10 emails to Etsy support and never got a response from them.
Yesterday I was able to chat with the support and they just kicked me from the chat after 2 minutes with not a single word said.

The crazy thing is that I never got money paid to my bank account from the sale. I spoke with the buyer from the US over the email and he was shocked too.

Not sure wtf is going on with big companies like Etsy, eBay, and others...

Make your own shop, I would never rely on Etsy or any eCommerce store which can disable you anytime they like.

exactly thats true but current doing ecommerce is very tough because of high advertising cost and product issue shipping issues.
i did but got few loss

Yeah I got my shop shut down which is a real bummer because I was bringing in over 1k profit per month passively. Don't get me wrong, it was my fault for selling Harry Potter quotes but it's pretty messed up how they completely ignore you when you email them. Still gotta find a way to get my shop running again under a new name.

Not necessarily the case. people make things all the time that breach copywrite

what were you selling? that would probably sort this out real quick.
for instance you can make a mickey mouse face mask. or in the instance of poster above us, harry potter quotes.
it will be taken down and potentially banned very quick for copyright violation.

Etsy is just about the most trigger happy companies when it comes to ban with no absolute reason.

That's true. I've emailed them like 30 times with no response from them. 2 times I was lucky to chat with them and they asked me for my info and stuff and after that, for no reason, they kick me out of a chat with no info about my account. I've never got my money in my bank account.

The REAL reason is, they suspect that you working with a stealth account, as i heard from a friend who is a big drop shipper seller there, that ETSY & eBay auto-ban accounts

Lol copyright can be on self-made items. But it's probably about trademark. You should learn about this stuff before doing it.

are you using same ip or same computer all the time some people will said is nothing to do but me and my girlfriend have both a account we live togheter to close aaccount but we recover they find suspision i truly believe is always a reason maybe a stupid one but look deep but now your problem they dont answer the only way now stealth account or other platform on other country is a lot of place maybe not big like esty but you have mix

A hard lesson I had to learn over and over and over and over and over again.

Don't put all your eggs in 1 basket; Google (seo), Adwords, Bing ads, Facebook ads, Tiktok... etc.

Build an e-mail list or your own platform where you can communicate and sell to your audiences even if the platform bans you or sling-shoots your website to the sandbox etc.
