I will try to explain myself a little better.

Most of the work is focused on your geographical location and your GMB record, no links are created so the solution is 100% safe.
Then we control the keywords in the local search, when they drop we work on them so that the keywords are always as high as possible.
Effectively when you stop the subscription we remove the work we have done. Therefore the positions will disappear quickly.
To be completely transparent, currently Google takes a little longer to index our work and the delay is a little more random between 72h and 1 week.
