You need to have outreach, closing, onboarding and management systems in place to actually convert and keep clients. It is those systems that will determine your conversion rate. In my case it is 20% because I do not bother targeting people unless I think I can convert them and I have those systems.

To build an SMMA agency you do not actually need a lot of clients, instead target ones that are low hanging fruit, you can help and basically pay you a monthly subscription to do so. That way charging even just $300 per month that is a $360,000 / year business with just 100 clients and with upsells it is not so hard to turn that into a $1million / year business.
