Isn't spun content considered duplicate content by Google?

I recently came across a site that is literally ranking for 180k keywords by scraping news articles from other sites. So it definitely works provided your content is considered unique.

My question is, how to get over the spun content issue? Any idea from someone is actually practicing this or did this in the recent past is much appreciated.

The easiest way is to use a Markov chain. You can play with any text here:
Code:
https://projects.haykranen.nl/markov/demo/

The output text has lots of errors and does not make much sense. But that's not the issue.

The issue is, is spun content even working for automated news sites?

i've recently created a news site with scraped content that is just translated. after about 2 weeks it already started ranking for some keywords and now keeps increasing.
i have other sites with spun content that work well, just not a news site yet, but that doesnt matter what type it is really. so i'm sure it could work. the content doesn't have to be 100% unique, just compare all the news sites how similar the articles are sometimes (or 1:1 copied).

markov is only useful if you want to cloak the site, otherwise nobody can read it.

From what I've seen lately in Google searches, it should work.

Yes, the site I was talking about was using translated content. So it works. Probably, spun content works too. Just curious, does Google Adsense approve these news sites? or FB ads allow them?

Google has lots of spun or copy content ranking well on Google has happened for a long time on Google .

If I do an article like this for example purposes"dog dog man went home went home today today at 2am" if google can make money from they will allow it to rank Google cares about money nothing else more less.

Hello there

What service do you use for translations nowadays?

Almost every site that I have automated ones. So some of them have spin contents and others are 100% duplicate contents. Seo is the only thing that I do manually. Just wanna let you know these things do rank bro.

Isnt it a black hat method?
Any manipulated tricks to get your website ranking in Google is considered as blackhat... If you would follow Google's guidelines stricty... Having a website with just spun or translated content may be seen as blackhat... But as always in SEO... IT depends if you can give value to your users :-P

I use Deepl.com for translation...

Translate from What language to what language. What gives the good output?
It seems most languages will do well... I notice some quality drops if you translate it quite often...
Just do some tests by randomly choosing some texts and see what works... You will see the difference soon enough...
