I spend 30 hours a week coding.
Not getting a penny cause most of the stuff is learning. Once you understand something, you can repeat and adjust it as you wish in much shorter time.
It's especially time consuming in the beginning. Being more expert with time, it becomes a money making machine.

It depends on how much you make and spend.
People mistake money and freedom
Being rich is not about having lots of money. It's about having freedom.
If you make $1k and that allows you plenty of free time and leisure, then you're rich.
If you make $100k and work all day, then you're a poor mf IMO
Programming is simply one way to make $. Whether you'll work all day or not is up to you.

Being employeed in a company takes approx. 9 hours of your time every day. Starting your own company is similar.
So I'd recommend skipping the 9-5s if you can and code some products for passive income.

This is similar to running a company. You just do different job. However, many times freelancers charge a lot, so they can outsource their work. This would be a type of outsourcing company. Your portfolio and expertise is what matters.
Freelancing is nothing else than helping people build products and systems. It can easily be turned into full time business with the proper approach and skillset.

That's no longer always true, especially during and after the pandemic.
Remote work and task based work are getting more popular than ever. You don't necessarily need to sit 9-5 in a formal job any more. Your employer may send you a task and you get it done whenever, as long as you deliver on schedule. Lots of jobs going in that direction nowadays.

Ok. But this is only what media tells you. I have been in 2 (two) companies and they both required commute in the year of 2021.
Also, I don't know how many people will trust you with serious jobs if you are online only. A great deal of clients is coming from domestic and local refferals. If you focus on SEO, then I'm sorry. You will be competing with giants and possibly waste your time spending money on ads and clutch positions.
Also, you should notice this would be too good to be true. You could land 10 jobs and outsource them all. You would only need to be a good negotiator.

I'm so much concerned about freelance programming. I've also noticed many people are making good money from that on a daily basis, of course because of their experience and skills that would take a lot of time.

Funny how there are different perceptions.
Around my neighborhood I see people walking, chatting, etc. I've casually asked how they get so much free time, most respond they're working remote since covid and it's become permanent for many of them.

The only problem starting is knowing what you need to know. What you need to learn.
Only PHP and JS are needed. One should train algorithms, data structures and build couple projects for their portfolio. Focus on object oriented programming and quickly grab a framework like laravel.
I am talking about Poland. If you don't know how the situation is here, you may wish to check. Nobody has free time. People who claim to have a lot of free time usually don't do shit for their future.

If you depend on it, you may start to see problems in coding as a threat to your security.
I saw countless times how underpaid programmers were coding after hours cause they couldn't finish it during worktime.
And what are you going to do if they are constantly talking about deadlines? Good luck living like that.
Burnout after 3 years on average. Suicidal depression can occur.
Many times the jobs are meaningless and you code a little piece of some huge software system. It's so useless to you since you can't use it and resell it. Isn't it?
