I don't know or care about short term price but the biggest hole in your idea is that long term the users are what matter and not those specs/features. Fast and cheap coins are a dime a dozen. Soon someone will come along, copy avax code, tweak it and boom the next eth killer that is even better, lol. That isn't really what matters most though.Avalanche is 100x faster, 1000x cheaper to use than Ethereum
Fees are fixed at 0.001 forever. You can send and receive AVAX paying 1/1000 of a coin.
It does smart contracts, which Cardano doesn't.
When you send an AVAX coin it arrives in 2 to 3 seconds max. Fastest crypto out there.
So, what's keeping this coin from reaching Ethereum market value? If it does reach Ethereum valuation, it means a 30x multiple of current price.
I can't see the hole in this idea. Seems kinda obvious to me? Change my mind?
My question is, how is the avax network in terms of businesses accepting it and people using it for normal transactions (not just trading on exchanges)? And how is that ecosystem growing? Many projects do okay with specs/functionality and price but can't seem to get any significant userbase. Why will avax be different exactly? It's so competitive now so getting an edge on real world adoption is rough.
The top coins (Bitcoin and eth mainly) have so much individuals and institutions money at stake which causes more development of the blockchain, applications and integrations. More users so more people willing to accept it. More people accepting it makes more people willing to use it, and so on. Everything causes a positive network effect which grows the ecosystem even faster. Bitcoin ecosystem is growing exceptionally well, Eth is also. Avax, not so much as far as I can tell. How long until the ecosystem matches Ethereums at the current or projected rate of growth?
I don't really have an opinion on it, it's too early for me tbh. At this stage it seems like an insanely risky long term bet.
Btw, are you sure it's even the fastest? I can't remember off top of my head but aren't Nano transactions completely free and under 1 second, with higher transactions per second then Avax? Regardless, I think there are lots of projects in the sub 10 second speed range now. Even Bitcoin lightning network is instant and cheap. As we have seen, those aren't the most important factors for adoption.
