Best WordPress Builder: Elementor, Astra Pro or other?

Hello everyone.

I have decided to take my website in a new direction and removed all my products and photos.

I started using Elementor after quiet a while into the setup of my website, some pages seem slow, others seem fast, so which web builder would you recommend for an online shop?

I would like something lightweight but still able to do a good job and I don't really have experience with other builders but Astra Pro looks good to me but is it?

Any help would be appreciated.

you can use generatepress theme which is gutenberg editor based. The site will be lightweight enough.

wp bakery is my favourite. Divi page builder is also a good option.

You will be facing the same issue regardless of what page builder you use.

If performance if the main concern for you then your best option out there is Oxygen Builder...By far!

There´s a misconception around Oxygen as people label it as another "page builder" but this is a mistake.

Oxygen is NOT a page builder is a THEME BUILDER...Big difference.

This will be the closest you´ll ever be to build a custom theme from scratch without having to write thousands of lines of code.

In fact, whenever you activate Oxygen on your site any and all themes you have installed will become disabled by default.

So, the only code injected on the site will be the one provided by Oxygen. So, performance-wise it´s not even close.

One of the many great features available on Oxygen are...

• A visual builder for Woocommerce
• Header & Footer builder
• Dynamic content
• Gutenberg block builder
• Create users and roles - If you have an agency or work with a team, this feature will become handy.
• Global settings
• Premade layouts and blocks
• Prebuilt composite elements

I do, however, need to come clean with something regarding Oxygen.

Even though I think it´s an amazing tool with an incredible customization potential that produces high-quality, fully functional, and performance-optimized sites better than any other tool on the market.

The only thing beating Oxygen is if you can actually build a theme from scratch custom coding everything yourself. Other than that, Oxygen is the best alternative.

But, not everything is good as Oxygen comes with a very steep learning curve. It was the first to design by web developers for web developers but, over the years, they have implemented major changes in the UI to accommodate those who don't have a coding background (like me).

But, still, it demands you to know HTML and CSS.

Personally, I think if you´re going to be building lots of websites this is something anyone MUST do, and, honestly, learning HTML and CSS it´s rather easy.

YouTube is filled with amazing tutorials about them and it will only take you a couple of days to learn the basics of both.

So, there it is!

I liked WPBakery, but I no longer use them on new sites I create.
I stick strictly to GP and GenerateBlocks
However, my older ones will have either WPBakery or Elementor

Have you ever tried Kadance? Maybe it can compete with GP with its customizable blocks.

Not explicitly and not in-depth, however I have heard lots of good things about it.

Most popular and most widely supported is elementor but I've had so many issues with it being incompatible and causing issues with other plugins etc.

Even with the issues, i'd still say elementor for ease of use and usability

I've been using Divi for 6 years now.
Their support is unmatched by any other site builder and they improve the app frequently in all directions.
So far I don't see any reason to change it for another one.

Elementor is best for me.
i know some people have issue with elementor, but Elementor is now not like before.
they fix many things & for speed issue we use must use simple theme with pro hosting like WPX.

on my expirence, same site i was use it on Namecheap after 1-2 years the site got slow down.
then i change it to WPX & make some customization.
Now its very fast.

It is extremely quick to load. Even on Ezoic, I am averaging 1.5s average across my site.

They also have an amazing group on Facebook that usually helps each other with issues and questions, + the support from the site is top-notch.
You can even replicate your issues on a sandbox site they have so they can easily figure out what is causing the issue.

Also, with their lifetime deal, it is a no-brainer for me.

I used Elementor and Astra before, but I always struggled with speed issues. I also partly blame the hosting I had at the time.
It did help when I swapped to better hosting, but Oxygen Builder knocked it out of the park.

GP+GP blocks if you have some knowledge.
If you can use GP+GP blocks you can totally use gutenberg alone without builder.

We currently use Elementor Pro. One way I found to make it faster is to obviously use really good hosting, like a VPS from Vultr or D.O., but also I installed something called Enginetron on the WHM (we have WHM license for all VPS). It optimizes NGINX. Then, I started using Shortpixel and Cloudflare, along with WP Optimize for caching. That stack has been giving around 1.3 second load times on some pretty heavy web pages.

I bought the lifetime version of Oxygen plus a bunch of extras and frameworks. I love it but I haven't had time to dig in and actually start using it. I think Oxygen is the best around, but not the easiest to use. The way I explain Oxygen is that is strips Wordpress down to the core and then sort of makes it's own CMS. I know that's not entirely accurate, but that's how I've found to describe what Oxygen does. I hope to find the time to dig into it soon.
