Best WordPress Builder: Elementor, Astra Pro or other?

Most people talk about speed issues with Elementor. I use Elementor in my projects for the last three years and I know where the problem is exactly.

When someone doesn't know basic things like html, css, basic js, basic speed optimization... they will have speed issues no matter which page builder they use.

If you know basic stuff you can gain 70+ PSI mobile score, with a little more advance 90+.

There is a lot of resources for speed optimization. And sometimes it can be a lot of work, but you can achieve 90+ at almost any type of Elementor based website.

Oxygen is a great page builder and it is also theme builder, same as Elementor Pro.

is oxygen better than elementor in terms of creating fancy landing pages and speed of course. what do you think.

If you work for yourself and have time to study, then Oxygen is a better option. It provides more possibilities but is a little more complicated (until it is mastered). In my experience, it is complicated for clients who later work on a content entry.

Elementor is much easier to master, but there are a lot of limitations, especially with WooCommerce sites. Oxygen is more favorable than Elementor. In my case, clients get along better with Elementor, so I stick to it. I haven't done a project in Oxygen in a long time.

You can create beautiful pages with both page builders. It is easier to optimize Oxygen, but Elementor gets better with each new update. They have new experimental options that make optimization easier.

I feel that elementor can be good only if it works with add-ons who complement it. you think so?

You can do a lot, without addons (for frontend). Sometimes you will have to add css or js, depending on the design. I can send you a few sites where I used Elementor only, with no additional addons. But, I don't know it is allowed to send it publicly, and I can't send private messages yet.

Been following this thread and I think there´s a big misconception around page builders and their impact on performance.

It´s undeniable ALL page builders have a negative impact on a site´s page loading speed and performance but, this doesn´t mean you can´t have a fast-loading website while using Elementor, Divi, or even Beaver.

The thing is the more you use (or abuse) a page builder functionalities and features to build your site the more time you´ll have to invest (or even money) to optimize your site for speed and performance.

I´ve optimized websites for speed and performance while carrying over 60+ active plugins including Elementor and Elementor Pro with like 3 different addons for it.

Of course, the benefits of building a site using lightweight tools like Gutenberg or even Oxygen it´s that the end up results will be far more optimize in comparison if you had build exactly the same website using any of the page builders I mentioned above.

Like @LP Web, if you have the time and self-discipline to learn your ways around Oxygen, it´s a highly powerful tool. It will be the closest you´ll ever be to build a custom THEME from scratch without having to write thousands of lines of code.

Also, I believe the pricing structure Oxygen offers surpasses any other page builder.

I mean, for $229 you´re entitled to a LIFETIME license (all packages include a lifetime license and updates by the way) and access to all its addons which includes...

• WooCommerce Integration
• Gutenberg Block Builder
• Simplified Client UI
• Composite Elements

Lastly, you can use Oxygen on unlimited websites as well.

So, it´s up to you.
