[Case Study] Los Pollos Casual Dating Smartlink with Propellerads as traffic source

Have you ever tried Youtube ads?
Not from youtube. But from other sources. However the result has not been that great. Maybe my choice of video could be the cause of the low performance. Do you have any tips to share for video ads?

Actually the result is so bad that I am too embarrass to post it.

I have setup multiple campaigns for the same offer in the below setup.

1) Android 10.0 + Chrome + 3G
2) Android 10.0 + Chrome +Wifi
3) Android 11 + Chrome +3G
4) Android 11 + Chrome + Wifi
5) iOS 14 + Safari +3G
6) iOS 14 + Safari + Wifi
7) Android 10.0 + Facebook Browser
8) Android 11.0 + Facebook Browser
9) Desktop + Window + Chrome
10) Desktop + Window + Firefox
11) Desktop + ChromeOS + Chrome

Spent more than $130 without a single conversion. Tested the link, it is working. Checked with Los Pollos, nothing is wrong with the traffic and offer. I am not blocked or anything.

Seems like the conclusion is to never run pop traffic with dating offer. As the conversion rate is super poor.
What is your average traffic cpm?

Lospollos is know for shaving leads. In my own testing I found that only 5-10% of your leads will be considered as conversions.

Do you mean EPC? It averages about $0.0375

I am not so sure about shaving but I do noticed that if you are using paid traffic, as in my case, I see more than 30% of my traffic as non unique. Which means most likely someone else is using the same traffic source as me. This could explain the lower conversion rate. BUT, I thought smartlink is suppose to be smart enough to avoid this situation. This does not seems to be the case with Los Pollos though.

I think Los pollos smartlink is rotating based upon the highest EPC and not based upon unique offer or conversion rate. So this is why I see a lot of my traffic being sent to none unique offer therefore my conversion rate has decrease tremendously.

I cross tested with another network's smartlink with the same traffic source and I am getting 3 times better ROI and conversion rate. But the average payout is lesser than Los Pollos. On Los Pollos, sometimes i get $124 payout on dating, sometimes $30,etc. Whereas on the other network, it average $1-$2 per conversion.

I think Los Pollos smartlink offer should be use along with another dating offer with higher conversion rate so that the average payout for the entire campaign could be increase as Los Pollos has lower conversion rate but higher payout.

No, I actually meant it when I asked cpm, how much are you paying per 1000 visitors because from your screenshot it looks like about $2 is that correct?

But epc was going to be my next question :)

So are you earning $0.0375 per click, from all 1000? So $37.50 / 1000 clicks?

EPC is Los Pollos is defined quite differently.

In Los Pollos, each click is defined as sign-up (based on my testings). For most offers, Conversion occurs after inserting the Credit Card information.

With that said, when EPC is $0.0375, it means, on average, you have earned $0.0375 per click. So you might have 10000 unique visitors, about 700 registers, and only 3 convert.

The EPC will be calculated by dividing total earnings from the 3 conversions with 700.

The following is a screenshot from my account:

I spend ~$40 and gained back ~$25 (~$15 loss). I used popunder ads, but as you can see, the effectiveness dropped heavily on the second day. In short, as the traffic pool is limited (at least in the network I'm buying from), the same user might see the ads more than once; thus, reducing the chances of conversion.

Yes if they traffic pool is small your budget should be small as well. If it drops the second day, pull out.

I have paused my campaign to talk with the account manager.

She was unsure about popunder and told me that she helps optimizing it or create a push campaign (that she thought was more effective). Overall the network is good, but my targeting was a little too narrow for their pool size.

Well, I suppose we should learn from our mistakes, so let's see her thoughts about this, and we can go from there.

My cost of traffic on CPM is between $0.50 ~$130 (the high bid is for very targeted traffic with very little volume). My bid depends upon conversion rate and ROI. But generally ROI is between 30% - 100% range. Every $100 that I spend I get a profit of between $30 - $100.

I see, seems like I have a better understanding on how the clicks and conversion arrives. Consistency of performance with Los Pollos is a problem that I observe.

This statement with push used to be true. But nowadays, push traffic quality is similar to pop. People who receives them are just disgusted with such push ads. So conversion rate has dropped alot nowadays but pricing is still very high. For pop traffic, I do have some dating offer that converts but just not with Los Pollos. For pop traffic, you have to be very targeted to see profits and make sure you have the right offer. OS version + Browser version + Cities + Hour + Device Type + Offer, etc.

Also, pop traffic traffic is very good for 1 click offer, click2sms, click2call, CPI +prelander, type of offer. Their performance is very consistent once you identify the right combination for targeting.

Would you mind sharing the network and telling me whether they support crypto payments?

I tried Lospollos with TrafficJunky and it doesn't make sense (ROI 10%).

Adsterra Dating smartlink. Give it a try. They do support crypto payment.
Try to focus on mobile traffic as their mobile offer are mostly SOI. Desktop is mostly SOI/ DOI.
Take note their payout can be pretty low so do not bid too much in the beginning until you have a profitable setup (OS+Browser, etc)

I see. I haven't seen the Adsterra Affiliates section up until now.
After joining, the Dating Smartlink seems to be a Revshare offer. Are you sure that's the one?

Yes, it is revenue share as payout is dynamic. But their offer is primary SOI for mobile traffic. DOI/SOI for desktop. So far I have not seen CPS offer ( never have a big payout like Los Pollos)

Whatever you do just don't use Clickdealer or Crakrevenue dating smartlink. Because their advertisers are primary looking for sales. So if your traffic do not convert into sales for them, you would have problems later on with payout clawback, etc.

Just a quick update. @LosPollos has been very nice and approach me to discuss a chance to improve my rate subjected to review of my traffic quality. Well, I am must say that I am quite surprise by this nice gesture.

Any tips for free trafic? I earned from losspollos 500$ șo far from traffic from România (Facebook) but now shave my earnings
Hmmm... facebook normally prohibits and bans adult ads don't they? Were you cloaking your advertisements?
