[Case Study] Los Pollos Casual Dating Smartlink with Propellerads as traffic source

For this case study, I am using Los Pollos Casual Dating Smartlink and Propellerads as traffic source. Using Pop traffic to run this offer currently. So far $2 has been spent and zero conversion.



Hopefully we can see at least one conversion by end of today. Shall keep this thread updated so that we can see if pop traffic can convert with dating smartlink.

Actually the result is so bad that I am too embarrass to post it.

I have setup multiple campaigns for the same offer in the below setup.

1) Android 10.0 + Chrome + 3G
2) Android 10.0 + Chrome +Wifi
3) Android 11 + Chrome +3G
4) Android 11 + Chrome + Wifi
5) iOS 14 + Safari +3G
6) iOS 14 + Safari + Wifi
7) Android 10.0 + Facebook Browser
8) Android 11.0 + Facebook Browser
9) Desktop + Window + Chrome
10) Desktop + Window + Firefox
11) Desktop + ChromeOS + Chrome

Spent more than $130 without a single conversion. Tested the link, it is working. Checked with Los Pollos, nothing is wrong with the traffic and offer. I am not blocked or anything.

Seems like the conclusion is to never run pop traffic with dating offer. As the conversion rate is super poor.

I don't pay for traffic. This is less sustainable than any type of free traffic. Just think about it.

Firstly, let me clarify. This case study simply show only Dating offer not converting for Pop traffic for Los Pollos Dating Smartlink. And to be fair, I am making quite a good decent revenue from pop traffic with Propellerads. But the offer that is converting well with good profit is certainly not dating vertical. Paid traffic makes up about 90% of my revenue for affiliate marketing leg of business for now. I am also getting sales conversion from paid traffic. So not all of their traffic are bot.

I agree to a certain extend that 'free traffic' or none incent traffic is good. The only issue is that it takes time and money to build them. You need good contents to attract eyeballs, an initial advertising push with a hope that it will go viral or if you want to go full blackhat, lots of proxies, botting, etc. All of these cost money. Even if you use the torrent method to get free traffic, you will still need to invest a lot of time or into a bot to do the heavy lifting of work.

I do have another leg of business that is using the free traffic model by utilizing AI content generation on a blog. And so far, it is generating some traffic, but not really in a profitable range yet. But this should be another different case study to talk about in a separate thread.

In conclusion, i screwed up badly with this case study and take my loss.

From all that I have learned on my IM journey - paid traffic is the way to scale. And one more thing, all the traffic is paid.

It's just some people, as beginners, , might be scared to spend their money on traffic since they do not understand how to monetize it. At the moment when you are used to work with traffic and when you understand how to monetize it - the way is to go with the paid traffic and stop wasting time on so-called "methods"

Its just a whole completely different question on how to choose a paid traffic source and how to build your funnel around it

Bro, the main idea is that "free" traffic does not exist. Even if you go out to the street and start screaming around that will still require some sort of energy to be spent.

Even if I hack 140k websites and use them to generate traffic, that will still require my time, knowledge, proxies, and so on.

CPA offers allow fast cash turn over so I am able to reinvest my profits into other businesses of mine. Building funnel or even lead building takes too long for cash to turnover. It is definitely good for long term business but just not my cup of tea as there are other better businesses model that I can use for this purpose.

For existing successful campaigns, I see no need to talk about them much. I am not here to boost my performance. Rather to share a case study on a new campaign that I am running (hopefully able to identify potential winners). Purpose of sharing such case study will enable all of us to avoid potential pitfalls as well as sharing of better ideas to run the campaign.

CPA offers allow fast cash turn over so I am able to reinvest my profits into other businesses of mine. Building funnel or even lead building takes too long for cash to turnover. It is definitely good for long term business but just not my cup of tea as there are other better businesses model that I can use for this purpose.
