I don't think that it is illegal in any part of world.... ask yourself a question what will happen if you will go manually to 20 forums and tell the world about your website and post offtopic messages worst thing what will happen forum ban you and that's it. xrumer just automates all submitting process.

The only reason email spam is illegal is because it is an open protocal. A forum however, is a privately run site with it's own TOS and interests. There could be a forum that likes and allows spam. So how could spamming forums be illegal?

The difference between spamming email (illegal) and spamming forums (legal) is a forum runs on a private server and is controlled and created by the private owners who can restrict access to any person and close sign ups, have invites only, or paid membership etc. whereas anybody can create an email and send to anyone through an open protocal. Therefore, the only consequence spamming a forum can bring to you is a banned account and ip. However, if you repeatedly spam a forum in a malicious amount and get caught, they can sue you for obstructing there business (I forgot the exact term lol)

So yeah. Forum spam isn't illegal in the united states (or at least that's my understanding) I am not a lawyer so don't quote me.

Forums are private entities (also if run by open source csm) open to users "who explicitely accept their TOS", and if TOS declares that spam if prohibited then if you use xrumer to spam that forum it's an illegal action (despite xrumer is run on an offshore server) and you can be sued.
Most forums can't afford to sue hundred spammers spamming from all over the world and behind private IP.

Xrumer itself as software is quite legal.

I am pretty sure the only form of spam that is illegal is e-mail spam, and even then most arrests for spam come with other charges, tax evasion, mail fraud, money laundering, etc.

In general very few arrests occur due to internet crime. There are plenty of pedophiles, hackers, pirates, e-mail spammers, etc. out there for the feds to go after before any black hat marketers. Biggest threat would be a lawsuit, and I have never heard of this happening (do some googling). Just be ready to walk away if the wild west that is the internet is ever tamed.

FYI: Use a proxy just to be safe, or even better use multiple proxies in different countries. The more countries used the more it will cost to get to you. Your talking international lawyers, search warrants, general lawyers, and then they need to prepare a case.

It is NOT illegal. It is not mail spam it is just posting at public forums. These forums are made public and anyone can post in them. Of course if you post racial or religion posts it is illegal. But if you promote your site no one can do anything to you ( except for banning you from their forum ). May be in the future it will become illegal but for now it is only against some forums TOS.

The forums are open to post, yes that's true but not to spam with links and useless posts that is another thing Try it here on BHW and post a new thread with your site or spam the hell of it and see what will happen. There are rules on the forums and if the rules are broken then... You get banned! Done!

I really don't think that using Xrumer is illegal. As far as I know only spam emailing was made illegal. Xrumer posts to forums which anyone can do. Only Xrumer automates the process and does it many many times faster!

Exactly. You can put in your TOS all hot chicks must send Pics of tits. This does not mean if they do not its going to land them in jail. The worst that's going to happen is someone is going to ban you.

Chances are xrumer or not if you post in their forum you will get banned this is just making life easier.

Oh and yea I just got a trial version and I am tryingit out right now.

things like phishing , intalling keyloggers , which sniff off personal details..those things are considering, spreadig bugs and viruses are illegal ..i dont think a harmless post with your cpa offer or for building links..could be considered illegal ....

One cannot say xrumer is illegal because there is no law against which the tool works against. Before you say something is illegal, there must be a law. A law is different from TOS. Of course, using the tool could be against the TOS of most forums, but that does not mean it is illegal.
