i go to non profit hospitals that provide financial assistance to those who are uninsured.

i guess it depends where you're from, the insurance companies here in az suck big time....

I used to work in sales and marketing for a fortune 500 Insurance company.

It was common practice for the hospitals to charge a patient without insurance 2-5 times what they would charge someone that had insurance. They look at like the majority of people will skip out on the bill and charge more up front to recoup what they statistically expect to lose on the backend.

I have seen cases where the hospital charged $250K VS. $50k and the guy with insurance.

Secondly, they only have to have you in stable condition, then they can kick you out. Again, they only have to stabilize your condition, then they transfer you. The amount of people that die in the US alone in those types of hospital transfers is easily 20,000 + a year.

It is some really sad messed up shit.


Insurance Companies=Hospital Corporations (Yes, majority are)=Pharmaceutical Companies= all equally bad, and all a menace to society.

No offense back, but me giving $10 is better than nothing, which, sadly is what 80% of the people who reads this thread will do. Just telling the truth. If everyone on this forum gave $10, that would be about $200,000 (and I'm SURE that's lowballing the number of members here now). I gave, I participated, so I hope he gets well soon, and those who don't like the amount, please feel free to bite me.

to some people in some parts of the globe 10 bucks is enough to feed their family for a week. and its a proven fact 90% of people here are not making more then a few bucks a day and are struggling to make ends meet themselves. especialy with the credit crunch going on..

maybe this dude has to live on bread for a week because of his donation..
don`t petronise people for the amount they are willing and/or able to give away to a stranger, but just praise him for caring and the initiative he took to help another forum member!!

i really hate these kind of comments, what seems peanuts to you and me may be a big chunk of cash for others!! he cares for others and is willing to help a stranger financially.. what more do you want!!

Cmon bro dont be so quick to judge. What if the guy donating $10 has a sick child that he can hardly afford to take care of himself. What if they guy who donated $10 lives in a 3rd world country and that represents a weeks pay? I think all donations are welcome and the amount should not be judged! Weak IMO!

i was actualy thinking the same. i got a pm from some new member claiming he was harro. that raised some red flags for me to, but after reading the thread and the thread posted here about oldenstyle`s accident i felt comfertable enough to go ahead.

also, i can`t imagine respected members here to stoop to such a low level to put the rep this forum has, on the line to scam a few bucks from its members.
if its fake it will come out eventualy and believe me, that won`t be pretty..
i also know first hand that the people running the show here really don`t need to squeeze 50k out of random people and kill their rep in the process.

even though we see a lot of "scams" being cooked up here, and because of the stuff we learned here we can we can smell an email scam or something a mile of, doesn`t mean everybody is out to get us.

i still wish to believe there are some honest people out there and not everything you run into is an attempt to scam people out of their money.
maybe that`s naive, but if you want and look hard enough you can find a possible scam behind everything!

i just don`t want to live in such a dark world.
and we all would be wishing to get a little support if that shit happened to us. those bills can really ruin your life, and i mean loosing everything you worked for your whole life!

Heres my take on that. I agree with you saying it would be stupid to scam out some quick cash and ruin the great reputation this forum has. I think there is a different tone to this whole situation as well that to me feels more real. You know the internet is a big environment and so with that there will always be scams but there is still more good than bad in this world. Everyone pays karma toll. I will be donating tomorrow and wish a speedy recovery.
Ps. I wanted to add in a little tid bit of visualization that helps me recover when I start getting the ill feelings.

First of all get still weather its sitting or laying down. Then slowly start to run through everything that your ego is trying to say. The ADD in everyone will start to kick in here. Now it is important not to follow the thoughts into extreme detail just touch on them and now start to clear your mind. This can be done by telling yourself focus....focus now silence your ego.....slience it right down. silence everything and just be. This is easy if you want it to be. Now we are getting to be real still like a lake with no ripples just still and there. Now you want to start to acknowledge the pain in your body and focus on your body creating armies of white blood cells. At this point I start to refer my mind to a battle ground with 2 sides one side white cloaks and on the other black cloaks. Now as im focusing on that, I can feel my brain firing chemical reactions to create this big army that is assembling on this battle field with me and the virus/bacteria. Now I am starting to see that there is way more of us the white cloaks assembling then the black cloaks. I start to think of how badly we all want this bacteria out of our body and how there is no way that we can loose. I run through thoughts of how great im gonna feel after we kick their ass. I can feel my brains activity really kicking up here because we are all getting excited to destroy every bit of this virus.....Now imagine that the flames are lit on one side seconds later on the other all of those white cloaks ready to go and attack start screaming on top of there lungs and everyone from both sides starts to run towards each other as fast as they can.........


I leave it there finish your own battle. Your mind is stronger than you think. If you don't believe that healing any disease mentally is possible thats cool do what you do.

Make the jr.vip 77$ instead of 97$ or something like that for the time being and talk with diamondave to forward half of that amount towards olden or something.that would bring in plenty of help. but only for qualified members.
