Well Rapidshare just like any company has full right to make their free version a pain in the ass to encourage paying customers.

Personally I'm really sick of people WHO ARE TRYING TO MAKE MONEY criticizing companies for doing the same, maybe everything in the world should be free to all you guys because you're so special and you should be the only ones to make a profit.

Rapidshare is used because MediaFire links go down within 30 minutes of being posted half the time.

If I gave you a free $100 bill you'd probably give me a hard time if it had a crease in in it

But the paid for version has many benefits for those that use it. Mediafire is good, but the two are very different imo.

oh btw on a similar note, my partner and I got a jungledisk account today. Lets you store anything you want on a remote server and has extremely strong encryption to the point of plausible deniability... so now both of us have a new drive on our machine that we share. the disk space is really cheap too. i think it was somthing like 20 cents per GB.

sure it does. if you are truly grateful, you are not going to bash the person who is sharing the file through whatever source is convenient for them or however they want to. they don't have to share it and you certainly do not have to download it. so to say you are extremely grateful and then in the next breath demand people bump a post to show that the said user should not use rapidshare to share their files is a contradiction of sentiments.

ok i suppose you're right that i came off a bit harsh in the general direction of people who post files to it.. i was just really frustrated trying to get some files and knew there were free solutions. those cats really piss me off and i dont want to give in to their tactics. w/e it is what it is

it really isn't that hard to look at the cats.... it takes 2 seconds... sure it is a pain in the ass, but like everyone else has said, it is worth paying for it if you use it a lot.... I use it every once in awhile and it is no big deal to look for the cats, but if you dl stuff all the time then it is time to pay $80..... you are getting all types of resources for free, if spending the $80 is too much... than don't spend it, but don't complain about it.... I am sure that you have downloaded much more than $80 worth of stuff off of there

A very good point. The only RS account I've ever had to pay for was the very first one. The earned points continue pay for my account renewals.

There's this program called Rapid Manager. Works great for when you get an account. Copy paste all the links in there and it'll start downloading like 5 at a time. Rapdishare is by far the most used file host and getting an account will save you a ton of money.

Hey, go ahead and use whatever you want to use, but the tone you used in your original post isn't going to get you far at all, especially when people are taking time out of their day to do something for you for free. There are a lot of people that agree with you, but there are also a lot of people who understand the value of having a premium account on Rapidshare.

If you really want to change the sites that people upload to, your best bet is to begin to upload and use a different site. When you see people posting in the member downloads section, mirror it on a site that you prefer. It just might catch on and certainly would be a far more effective and subtle way to get your point across.

Yup you sound like your piss at the people who upload the file to rapidshare. You're getting these stuff for free you shouldn't be complaining. Yea rapidshare free account suck because of the cats that shit piss me off too but I'm not going to make a thread about it telling other people to upload to a different service its up to the people who sharing the files where they want to upload it. I'm pretty sure they know that there other free service out there but they rather stick with rapidshare because the files doesn't die out fast if they were to upload it to mediafire and the file goes down everyone would just complain and ask for a reupload they wouldn't want to keep reuploading a file. When I usually download the rapidshare I been getting happy hour so its all good to me yea sometimes I have to type in the captcha with the cats and its hard to see sometimes and I get it wrong but whatever just keep trying til you get it correct not like you're paying for anything you should be graceful. Everyone agree with you that the free rapidshare account suck ass but whats the point of complaining about it. It just make you look bad you're getting these stuff for free be happy.
