No matter if member is Yellow or Upgraded

Does a member has a goal to receive potential PM's and scam

Example:

[Giveaway] AWS Free-Tier accounts

This dude is very active, let me tag him @Satya Biswas

and yet, he probably delivered 0 of what he promised, but even if he delivered 5 or more,

His obligation is to engage from time to time, (say once a month) so members can even note him lol

This what he made is endless bumping, so thread should be locked no matter what after few pages, as we all know he won't deliver that much.

1 page = 20 replies, max 3 pages = lock as a spam prevention. I don't like this abusing of Free stuff... has to change, please!

To all members, REPORT BUTTON and ask thread to be locked. Mods will follow, they always do, they understand.

I say Ban to make it catchy, but anyway, I would suggest to expand BHW rules a little and add few words about this subject (if not already)

Infraction/warning or temp/full ban should be there as an options for OP's who never maintain or/nor deliver promised.

I just reported this example and got an answer: no reason to close it :D

haha, well, not always the case, I just wanted to point out some stuff, I won't care too much about the outcome, cheers

It is not a sales thread and thus he is not required to post in there... banning them for that is lording over them in an egregious manner.

They abuse it, so I have to disagree, and say that locking a thread is the best option, after you guys determine he is not giving away anything.

Additionally, since we all have a past, he can be banned for attempting another giveaway doing the same.

He is probably not delivering, and that is abuse for me, but I understand everything, thanks for answering.

You have no idea if he is delivering or not.
Exactly mate, but you do.

I can't know, but I can report, and then you can check if he delivers and close his thread if he doesn't, that was the whole point.

Also, if he delivered (in this case) 5 accounts and then stopped, why to let thread going into nowhere?

6 pages already, close the thread, and if OP is really that generous, he have there more at least 100+ members to work with.

No need to keep bumping the thread, that's just how I see it.

In ideal case, people who participated in the giveaway but didn't receive anything should report the thread. I think most people here just ignore and move on.

He confirmed that he sent to some users. So, I don't think if this particular giveaway is fake.

Yes he did confirm, I failed to see that, but still not professional.

I remember when @SpawneR was doing his birthday giveaway

like 6 pages, delivered promised within few days and asked thread to be closed, that's how it's done.

I know it's not required to ask for own thread being closed, but this example is still healthy to be closed right away.

Guy said "that's it for now" and he has more pages with people joining, and he will never deliver them... :D

That's it, have a happy day everyone.

the only annoying thing about freebies threads is those who open one
with a new bhw account, them spam sent 30x in 30 1 word posts
and you can why they do it
