Be Kind To Your Clients

Agree with you 100% on that one @BassTrackerBoats your clients really are your business and what they think of you and your company means (or should mean) everything.

The same goes for small clients, big clients and leads because it's not only the client themselves but it is all the people they talk to about your company and how they describe you to others will be a direct reflection of how you have treated them.

@BassTrackerBoats do you use NPS for your business, as I just made a post about it I wanted to ask you? If yes, how do you use it to its full potential once you have your scores?

I refunded a client $2,700.00 for service I provide on a monthly basis today as we need to be kind to our clients,
Lately, I don't know why, this meme is in my head all the time in this forum

Why are you exactly giving back for a service you are developing? I have not read all the answers, but is it an NGO or something like that?

He did not ask.

I did it to give back.

If you are not giving back you are not contributing to making the world a better place in my opinion.
I am sorry for my useless opinion, if any other member would have posted this. I would have said it is just a self promotion.
Being humble to client and nice to client is a different thing. If you would have worked for no money that was also nice.
But, taking money and then returning for no reason / without asking and then posting in public merely looks like a demo or show of how nice a seller can be.
Most of us do nice things, but this all should be secret.

If I were your client I would have felt it like a insult instead of nice gesture. It was just my useless opinion.

Anyways, whatever you are doing to make world a better place is great. If you need my account details in case you want to make world a better place for me I would be happy with 50-100k;)

Sounds muggy to me. I wouldn't work for free or refund a client, unless the service I provided was useless or damaged their business.

Giving refunds to clients for no reason makes no sense.

Business is business, not a charity.

If you want to make the world a better place donate that amount to a charity.

My opinion anyways :) probably not allowed to it have it but there we go :)

I wouldn't work for free
I think the point is about doing some good whether for the community, or for an individual. You do have a point, of course the perspective you should look at it from is that of a giveaway. By doing so, it can help strengthen your reputation as well.
I think there are multiple ways to approach this, offering refunds are just one way mentioned in the OP.

Strengthen your reputation? If I was to give refunds to my customer that would not strengthen my reputation, that would damage it. Why should I? I provide a good service and expect to be paid for that service. The second you do a refund or something as a gesture of good will they will begin to expect it.

Do the simple things correct.

Provide a good honest service at a fair price and there is no need to refund or do anything else.

To the naive folks finding BTB’s actions as absurd - you mistakenly judge him by the standards of an average SEO service seller, and that’s of course mainly because you don’t know him well.

$2-3k do not make or break BTB, so he does it because he can, and mostly because he develops great relationships with his clients, some of which he knows personally and is friends with. He has high standards of work and I can safely assume that he was not 100% content with the work done for the client on this particular month - regardless of the reason, even if it was just giving back for the sake of it, by doing this there is an enormous chance that he will keep those clients for a very long time, if not a lifetime (as long as they’re in business).

The ones that find this hard to believe are probably the ones we’ll soon see or have already seen debating with clients on a shit list, because they refused to refund. Remember, the customer is always right and you are still in business (if you are)
only because of the customer, nothing else. It takes brass balls to be a classy businessman.

Smarten up!

@BassTrackerBoats
When I enter linkpushing.net I get this error (on my desktop and phone).
Just in case you are not aware about this.

Here me out. OP totally just flexed on you money hungry psychopaths.

Maybe OP wants to let a few people on here know that they should at least consider to be nice and not have the concept of money be their main purpose in life. Sure give discounts or whatever you see fit. Do your thing your way. Stop breaking people's legs for $50 and be more humanitarian. Yeah you have a business and do things in exchange for money but at that same time whoever is reading this has to have to consider we all die and no need to forget that yeah we all dieeee. Be sure to do honest and good things. This is a do good thread. Hype your life around doing things not to solely earn money but to earn happiness.

Yes, as I said there are multiple ways to approach it, essentially you're just doing good things that don't necessarily benefit you in a reciprocal manner.

No need to take it out of context :D, I'm not suggesting nor do I think it is suggested in the OP, that the moment you receive a payment you should refund it for all customers, especially if we're talking about a digital product. I don't think that providing refunds is the best and only way you can go about this, it's about giving back

Providing an honest service and treating the client well is the bare minimum you should be doing in business. Going the extra mile is what this is more about.

Massively awesome preaching, everyone must understand this.;)
Moral of this story is, this is going to be the best weekend thread.:p

True , we need to be kind to our clients.
Take my example
I am a chef and there is a client who visits us very often , I actually yesterday cooked him pasta without expired sauce.
I feel so good btw

I just came from a restaurant, now thinking about sauce used.

I can understand this if a client deserves it.
