46 million Americans own bitcoin

Most likely not even 1m americans own any bitcoin, so i'm gonna push my own statistic. More than 10 million germans own litecoin, as credible as this.

Are you sure about that number? So you're telling me that roughly a sixth of all Americans own Bitcoin?

Because my question is, do they own it directly?

Or did they own it through some sort of investment that they already own which then turned around and diversified into Bitcoin?

I suspect it's probably the latter. In that case, this should not be all that surprising.

That's like saying 60 million Americans own gold.

Well, it turns out that, if somebody has an IRA or owns a mutual fund and its fund manager diversifies into precious metals, that's how gold made it into their investment portfolio.

But this is a far cry from saying that all these people intentionally sought out gold as an investment.

Do you see where I'm coming from?

Still, this is good news. People are waking up to the fact that paper money issued by governments has serious limitations.

I am of course talking about inflation.

The sooner fund managers, as well as governments, start looking to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as better stores of value than the plain and naked government assurances of credit, the better off everybody would be.

You have to understand that inflation is a serious problem. It eats up the value of your savings, and it can impoverish you.

So any move to address inflation by using investments that go up in value over time is good news.

Investing monthly adding in dips, i'll hold for 5+years,but I am also buying eth and cordano with a ratio 2:1:1.
